Having riffed The Core not too long ago, I was appalled by Cameron's blatant thievery of Dr. Brazzleton's discovery. You KNOW how the doc hates people jacking his ideas.
Yeah, but at least there it was called that as a bit of a joke in the movie. And when even The Core thinks something scientific is silly, that says something.

And yeah, while not a real mineral, Unobtanium is a real engineering term. Sortof.

Its use is still pretty stupid, since from my understanding if something is actually discovered that fits the role of unobtanium, it would no longer be called unobtainium.

My vote:  bouantium.
