...I just wanted to say that Smithfield Ham is widely regarded as the best in the country. There's actually a law in Virginia that ham can't be called Smithfield Ham unless it was raised and cured within the Smithfield city limits.

Oh, and let me add, this short is both insane and awesome.

That law used to also say that they had to be fed only Virginia peanuts (the other food item we're "famous" for). That part was repealed in the '60s. Presumably due to it's sheer idioticy.

Still, if you like super salty country ham (which I most certainly do), Smithfield Ham is pretty kick ass.

Not that anyone cares, but I was watching Maniac again today and Bill actually references Smithfield Ham.
