So...

One lucky person in New Zealand will be the first person in the world to buy an XBox 1 console, since NZ is just past the international date line and they'll get first swing at it. So what are the Kiwis doing with that special console?

They've got it stored in an aquarium. Inside a shark tank.

Well, at least they're taking their security seriously.
So which supervillain is that?

What on EARTH could this be?

I'm told a couple of things about this. First, the Morse Code is for 11/12/13, which, for everyone not in the US, is the 11th of December, 2013. Secondly, the timer that's counting down ON that website is set to hit zero on that date. Third, the website is owned by Zenimax, who is responsible for publishing the Bethesda games. Finally, the script running on the website is Fallout.exe, or whatever the extension should be.

It would appear that, using deductive reasoning, the Riddler is planning to attack the telegraph station on 11/12/13 at 1:18 am using a nuclear weapon of some kind.

That's impossible.  Batkid just arrested the Riddler today, he can't escape before the 11th.

A Fallout teaser would be great.  It's around the time that they would be hinting towards those things for next Christmas.

I would give my first born child for Fallout 4.

No need! They'll make one because it makes hundreds of millions of dollars.

I just hope it's not an MMO of Fallout...

From Square Enix: Tomb Raider will be getting a port to the PS4 and XB1. Not quite sure why since SE thought that the sales of the title were "disappointing" but it's on the way anyway.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/129855-Steam-In-Home-Streaming-Monopolizes-Host-Computer?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=news

This sounds perfect for the media computer I want to build for my living room. Just a small computer to hook up to my TV that can play shows from iTunes and HBO Go and all the other stuff my Roku box can't do. The new steam controler sounds perfect to control that with, granted there's some simple text input option. But it sounds like it will do mouse emulation very well.

Being able to stream games from my gaming rig to my living room is a nice bonus.  I personally can't wait for these new Steam products.  No more setting a laptop next to the TV and messing with a bunch of cables.

So Telltale is working on a Game of Thrones adventure...

This means I need to get familiar with Game of Thrones! I wish one of these streamy services I pay for would stream it. I don't get HBO and don't want to buy a Blu-ray set until I know it lives up to the hype...

I'll spoiler this as Butters is a little potty mouth.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Seriously, pick up the first book. If you enjoy it, you'll probably like a game based on George Argh Argh Martin's series. And it can't be worse than the last two GoT games.

Dang, a Telltale game I'm gonna skip. I really dislike Game of Thrones.

Two bits of next gen news:

One- An unbelievable bit of news- both Sony and Microsoft seem to have decided to include a frigging HDMI cable in the box with the PS4 and XB1. Huzzah. It's a little thing, like finding that the remote with your new TV has batteries included, but it's still a thing.

And two- gaze in horror at the XBox game case!

The disc is on the wrong side! IT'S ON THE WRONG SIDE!

I saw a bit of news on IGN that Sony's bundling the Vita and the PS4. That's pretty cool. I kind of do want to get a PS4 sometime, because it looks like it's just going to be a genuinely pleasant experience.
