Hey! No more memory cards for the 360!

Woot! Need more space? Slap in an (Up to 16 GB) flash drive. Yeah, you can do it on the PS3 too, but it's never been as necessary there. It'll also make it a lot easier to transfer files next time I upgrade my system.

BTW: This is the last day of operation for the Xbox Live service for the original Xbox. The servers will be shutting off at some point today, but until then, play and all Xbox DLC is free. That's Halo 2 maps, Kotor expansions, all of that stuff.

I just read about that site in Game Informer!  does it work as well as they claim?  Is it really DRM free?  If so I think i will end up blowing about $40 of my tax return on it.  I hope at some point they get the Wing Commander games.  Those just will not work with any of the systems I have owned in the past 8 years and i would really like to play them again.

I buy from them a lot. Totally DRM free and everything I've purchased from there works like a charm.

They have some REALLY old games on there, too, which are real gems.  I downloaded Waxworks from them, but I haven't gotten too far in it (did the Jack the Ripper level first, figured it would be the least interesting, and the police just keep finding me and sending me off to the gallows), but another old PC adventure I played once or twice, Personal Nightmare, is up.  If you can get past the ancient, barely EGA graphics, that one's not bad, either.

EDIT: They do seem to gain and lose licenses a bit, though...I purchased a racing game from them that they would no longer be able to sell after a certain date, so if you bought it already you had to hang onto your download because you couldn't get it from them after the date passed.  Also, I can still apparently download one game I bought, but it's no longer on the site for sale (it was a Resident Evil-type game called ObsCure, pretty fun, actually).

But, they added Psychonauts when I wasn't looking, and damn if I haven't heard good things about THAT...

And the announcement from GoG is...

The action adventure game Outcast. Well, that was worth waiting for.

(Oh, and the Moo 1 & 2 bundle is hidden further down the page. $6 for the pair is well, well worth it.)

I always wanted to play that game.  I remember it getting a lot of hype over its "voxel" technology, which meant even shitty computers like mine could run the game decently.

Strong, strong rumors that GoG will have Master of Magic available soon. (And by strong rumor, I mean look here:
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/master_of_magic)  Huzzah! It looks like the Microprose back catalog is rapidly returning.
