Actually, the cool people refer to it TBDSOT (The Best Damn Show On Television). And they're right. I've never seen a higher quality series on TV and I doubt I ever will. It was THAT GOOD. If you haven't seen it, shame on you.

I got a number of friends hooked on it last year, and we all drove down to "Bawlmer" for a few days. You can visit the old empty government building on the Fell's Point waterfront where they shot exteriors and interiors for the police building. If only we could've gotten onto the roof. The city put up a plaque:

(Thank you to whomever posted this photo online. The one I took didn't come out that well.)
There was even a white Chevy Cavalier parked out front!
We then went across the street to the Waterfront Hotel Tavern, which stood in for the bar Lewis, Munch, and Bayliss bought. We had a nice dinner upstairs (hooray for Old Bay fries), then played pool on the table where Brisco cleaned out Munch in that Law & Order crossover.
Beg, borrow, steal, or murder to get the Homicide DVDs. (The complete series filing cabinet is well worth it. One of the above-mentioned friends got it for Christmas.) I'm not exaggerating when I say it's by far the best TV drama ever made. 10/10 chalk outlines.
P.S. Love your avatar, Andrew.
P.P.S. NYPD Blue is utter garbage.
I'm a hater... dont like any cop/csi shows (the shield was decent for awhile then lost my interest)
Homicide isn't about cops, it's about people. And yeah, CSI is amazingly stupid.
