Horror's Biggest Cliché!
« on: June 27, 2009, 03:29:40 PM »
http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/topic,14121.0.html.  Same rules, One brings up a topic, we list, and eventually come up with another.

So to start us off:

A group of people (often teens/young people) on a road trip decide to get off the main drag and "take the scenic route" (which more likely then not) is the fatal mistake that takes them down certain doom lane.

1.) The Hills Have Eyes

In The Sadist it's not a "scenic route" scenerio but the car breaks down....

And it's not a supernatural monster...but it is Arch Hall, Jr.

It's not a "group", it's one teen, so does TOUCH OF SATAN count?

I think it's either when enough time goes by that no one comes up with something new....or someone thinks of a new cliche.

The original Last House on the Left:

"A pair of teenage girls are headed to a rock concert for one's birthday. While trying to score marijuana in the city, the girls are kidnapped by a gang of psychotic convicts."

Think he'd be more pissed if I added things to the list that didn't really belong.

When I'm not certain, I ask.   You'll notice I must have been wrong about The Sadist....it didn't go on.
