I voted "I have no plans to get one".

I'm not a tattoo guy, whatsoever. It's just not for me.  :)

I have a small colliers tattoo; that is where some coal dust get in under the skin and leave you with what looks like a bruise only it's permanent (it's also how tatts used to be done back in the day but in my case it was just some flying shards of coal that did it).

I don't have any, but it's only because I have yet to find something that screams "I need that permanently written on my body."  I'm serious, I would get one if I ever found something that I absolutely needed to have a tattoo of.  but I'm not actively searching either.

No.  Tattoos are like indelible stains on the skin.  I prefer to avoid disfiguring scars.

I have plans to get one on my shoulder, just haven't had time or enough money to dedicate to it yet. I'd like a 3D-metallic-looking Thor's Hammer with my name in runes, surrounded by a Viking art style dragon that is twisted around it. I can see it in my head and it looks pretty cool.

Back in college I did toy with the idea of having magpie's wings tattooed on my arms but then one of my favourite songs at the time was Whistlin' Past The Graveyard.

WAY back when I was in college I wanted to get the Comedy/Tragedy masks on the inside of my ankle to cover the awful veins that are there from repeated sprains/strains.  Plus, in most costumes you wouldn't be able to see it -- had to use a LOT of makeup to cover the guys' calf tattoos when they wore kilts for the Scottish Play.  I just never got up the gumption/money to get it done.  Probably won't now.

The best rule I've ever heard is never get a name tattooed on yourself unless it's (1) your kid(s)'s name, (2) your mother's name, or (3) your name if you can't remember who you are, plan to ride-out a natural disaster, or are prone to daredevil stunt performing.  Those are usually the only 3 that never, ever change.  ;)

I may have one or two.  ::)

I guess I have indelible stains on the inside and out.  :D

Oh... I prefer to avoid disfiguring scars as well... which is why I avoid car accidents!

Well, enjoy the big indistinguishable blobs they'll become when you're in your 40s. I live in Hillbillyville USA and, believe me, I've seen more than my share of ink splotches on women who most likely have had their tattoos for years.

I'd love to get one, but I'm afraid of getting a bad artist. And I'm afraid of paying hundreds of dollars for a good one.
