It's not outrage at all (at least not from me).  It is simply a consequence to rule breaking.  If anyone else did the same thing he did they would have been dealt with just the same.  It's not personal, as much as Thrifty wants to believe it is.

Fair enough, and you are of course well within your rights to deal with rulebreakers any way you see fit.  Looking back over the purgatory thread, I agree that you were quite patient and courteous, and Thrifty's reaction was over the top.

And to clarify, "outrage" was not meant to refer specifically to you, James.  It was in reference to the group response to the situation.  This forum, like most I've been a part of, has a tendency to pile on the new guy, and I think that's what Thrifty was reacting to.  I'm just saying that I can sympathize with that.

Of course, I don't think it would kill Thrifty to apologize for flying off the handle either.

Oh, and since I forgot to do it earlier, I need to applaud James on the way he ran this game.  I really like the occasional status updates on number of votes and such.  I think they kept people engaged in the game whose attentions might otherwise have wandered.  The grace periods on the weekends were also a good call.  FIne work, sir.

And yes good game again James

Thank you!   ;D

Great stuff!  And I have to commend Tripe and basehart for playing a very interesting and risky strategy early on.  I'm curious as to what would have happened had that little gambit backfired.

My guess, and this is why we did it, is that the one who survived (which would have most likely been Basehart) would have had some of the heat taken off them. :)

Very interesting.  I'm not sure whether the trade-off would have been worth it, but it was a bold approach nonetheless.

Of course, in hindsight, if I'd have voted one less time for Tripe, there wouldn't have been a tie-breaker.  :)
