Amusing Twilight Stuff
« on: April 21, 2009, 02:55:02 PM »
Okay, I can post this now that the trax is out.

I saw these in the grocery store over the weekend:

Yes, some of the hearts are "glittery" and have even creepier messages than the standard valentine hearts. Joy!

(As a food, they're just the standard hearts, but these have a bit of fruit flavoring, so they're not bad.)

I suppose they taste like vegetables right? ... or at least they should.

For science, I'm sure. Right???

I think the slogans on the box are even worse:
"Secret scent - rub to reveal!"
"The forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest!"

The fact that this is geared towards tweeny girls is all the more disturbing.

It says "2 of 3."  Did you collect them all?

How could he (assuming it is a he because it's just funnier that way) if he knew the candies were actually glittery?  Collecting would imply (I would think, though maybe one could eat the candy and save the box) that the dumb things would be unopened....unless...he bought AT LEAST two of each.

Might I add, off topic, Claude: Mr. Sardonicus?  Nice. :)

Indeed, hot Simpsons lady.

A fine film. I like Krull the henchman character better, but he lacks avatar zing.

Yes. Yes I did. But I was not insane enough to buy all three versions of the box. And I did open the box. It is food afterall.  Insomuch as chalky conversation hearts laced with fruit flavorings are to be considered food.

Oh, and the flavors? Orange obsession (Soul Mate!), Secret Strawberry (With You), Passion Fruit (Secret) and Tempting Apple (Bite Me). Nice to see Bill helped with the messages.

Yah, one of the ladies I work with brought these into work in an unmarked bag without telling me what they were.  I was in a meeting when I started reading the little messages and just about flipped a lid.  WTF?  "Bite Me"?  That would be awesome if it had something to do with MST3K, but Lamb and Live 4 Ever?  I was confused, and they taste awful.

I saw these things at the bookstore the other day. The friend who lent me the book (while using the word "shlocky" to describe it) is getting a certain thank you gift when I return it now...

Seriously, "Live 4 Ever"? How screwed up is this fanbase?
