The Worst MST3K Movie Ever

Hamlet for the Sci-Fi era. It put me to sleep every time and I never fall asleep during a movie. I finally got through it once I had the DVD and could take breaks.

That one is terrible, and I can't even get into the riffs.  Once is enough for that one.

I waited patiently for my weekly dose of MST3K in those days, I even got up every Saturday morning no matter how little I had slept just to get my fix. I needed my fix whatever it might be and yet at least half a dozen times I was greeted by Hamlet and all was lost. I tried so hard, I may have even gotten halfway at one point. When I first played the DVD, I realized I had the opening segment memorised word for word, it's quite possible I underestimate how many times that episode defeated me. The vivid memory I held of several parts as I saw them one more time suggests that it may have embedded itself in my very dreams, taunting me for all these years.

I may watch it again sometime now that it is defeated though, free of the challenge of simply getting through it without passing out.

The Wild World Of Batwoman. Atrocious

THe only one so far that i have ever turned off was Last of the Wild Horses. Sorry, but there is little in this universe that I find more boring than a western. I have gotten through Gunfighter, but only a few times.

Monsters A-Go-Go was pretty terrible.  Nothing happened, it was just people standing around talking most of the time, so there wasn't anything wonky or dumb or whatever going on to laugh at.  The only real 'laughable' thing was the ending, but by then I had already attempted to kill myself several times.

Hamlet was another one in the same vein.   


Movies like Manos and Hobgoblins are wacky enough that they are laughable even on their own, which is what makes riffing them so much fun.

I think Castle of Fu Manchu may be the worst for me.

That's up there for me too.  But The Unearthly takes the cake.  It's the only MST3K movie that I straight up refuse to watch ever again.

For me it's the Creeping Terror.  I've never been able to make it through the whole movie, fall asleep every time...I'm not kidding.

Then Starfighters and the Wild World of Batwoman.

I personally liked Monster A Go Go.  Had to give it a second chance though.

And another weird thing about the Unearthly is that Bloodlust has the same music track. It bugged me for a while, because I had the VHS of The Unearthly for a long time, and then when the DVD box sets started coming out, I got Bloodlust. And I knew I had heard that music before.

I still haven't seen all of these, but dear GOD Being from Another Planet (aka Time Walker) was horrific.  I loved Servo's rant at the end where he just kept insisting this was the worst movie they'd ever seen.

This was my first time seeing this one, thanks to DAP-DVD.

Looks like someone needs to soak in some of the groovy that is Ben Murphy.
