The remnants of Laura will bring breezy conditions to my area on Saturday along with an increased threat of severe weather.
80% chance of storms today (mostly before 12 noon) with winds between 25 & 35mph :o

Looks like TS/future Hurricane Sally looks to be heading to the LA/MS/AL/FL panhandle area by mid week and the remnants look to be heading towards the Carolinas by weeks end :o

The upper 80's to 90+ degree temperatures are officially over for the year here in the NC/SC local
:highfive:
A nice easterly breeze this morning with temperatures barely reaching 80 and lows in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees for the rest of the week as we get ready for some heavy rains later this week from Sally 8)

Got a lot of rain all day yesterday but not the gloom-and-doom they were predicting..
I think we got maybe 2-3 inches of rain overall and the storm has moved out of my locale.

On the first official day of Autumn, Charlotte (CLT) tied a record low temperature of 43 degrees, which was set back in 1918. Almost broke a 102 year record.. That lets you know how cool the recent airmass has been.
I tell you what, it has been really nice sleeping temperatures :P

First night it got cold here I wasn't ready for it, woke up and had to put on sweat pants and pull out an extra blanket.

With these clear days and nights I need to heat the house in the morning and the sun is still strong enough to heat it up during the afternoon so I need to cool it in the evening...

The remnants of Hurricane Beta have arrived.
This is the first Greek lettered storm to affect the Carolinas :o
Not expecting a whole lot, just an inch or more of rain tonight through Thursday.
