Cold dreary rain all day yesterday and gusty winds all day today as a nor easter is developing off the Carolina coast..
Winds were steady 20 to 30 miles an hour from the north east with some gusts over 40mph. :o

It was chilly and windy here, stupid wind was changing direction with every gust, made trying to use the wind to help move the last of my leaves kind of hard.  Had to give up on using the leaf blower to finish the piles and switch to a rake.

Weird forecast...calls for 8 to 12 inches of snow tonight through 3 PM tomorrow, but temp currently at 35 and supposed to stay above freezing until around 3 PM tomorrow.
So maybe wet slushy precip that will freeze to ice tomorrow afternoon?

Ended up a couple of degrees cooler than forecast- right around 32 to 33 degrees last might into today. Got 8 inches of heavy wet snow. About an hour West they got 22 inches, so missed the worst. Supposed to cool into the low 20s tonight and stay there for a couple of days.

Had thunderstorms roll through here around 5am this morning then 20-30mph winds all day :o
Cold air is returning this week for the Carolinas :speechless:

Received over 2 inches of cold dreary rain yesterday and last night. Highs all day were in the mid-upper 30s. No snow at all but man was it miserable  :gouge:

Our pre-Christmas storm is developing:
An area of low pressure will bring heavy rainfall to portions of the Southeast including the Carolinas tomorrow afternoon/evening through Monday night.. Temperatures will be in the low 50s for highs and low-mid 40s for lows.
Rainfall estimates range from 2-4 inches with wind gust between 30-40mph. This will be a great opportunity to move my 'tropical' plants outside to get some beneficial rainfall :o

They are predicting 1 to 4 inches of snow this evening around here.  It's been all rain so far, I think this is one of those predictions of wrap around snow after the low passes and those are notoriously hard to predict.  I guess we will see over the next 6 hours.

We're getting snow right now and it should go to at least midnight. But all of the weather websites I go to don't say anything about how much accumulation we're supposed to get. Why is that always the hardest thing to find, when it's the first thing I need to know?!

Forecast says it is supposed to go until midnight but looking at the radar it seems to be over already.  Never turned to snow here, just rain and now the wet ground is freezing.

It's 3am and it's 62 currently :o
Heavy fog in the area and a line of showers & thunderstorms along a stalled front is moving through the area..
This is still January right? Cause this weather sure feels like Spring time ???

Another 3 to 4 rounds of storms rolled through overnight..
Lows still in the lower 60s and more storms throughout the day today with highs near 70 :o
Middle of January ad the Spring time weather here continues in the Carolinas.
