Downloaded my copy of both episodes the day after they were shown on tv with the adverts edited out from newsgroups. No dodgy spyware or having to wait for other people & stuff, just 15 minutes to d/l the program. Not watched it yet so can't say what it's like.

I'm not exactly an atheist, but I'm not Christian.  That doesn't stop me from enjoying the hell out of Xmas,

Well, it shouldn't, since it's a Pagan Roman holiday co-opted by the Christian Church.

I don't see the two Xmas episodes of Futurama on this list. Tsk tsk.

Nuff said.

Question from an inexperienced pirate. Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to download the torrents, and recieve the files for Hogfather, and then try to play it on their computer, would you, or anyone else in the know, know why I might only get audio and a big black picture when I try to play it? (Not that I would advocate piracy on a forum! :^)) Is it because it's in hi-def and my computer doesn't play that? Are there methods or special players I can use to view it correctly? Me and Tyrant are big Pratchett fans and we wanna see this before Christmas. :^)

Probably don't have the correct video codec.

Use something like http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ to find out what it is you are missing, then search the interwebs for what it is.  Though likely to be Xvid or some mpeg4 variant.

Use VLC to play your media, it'll pretty much play anything:

No dodgy spyware or having to wait for other people & stuff, just 15 minutes to d/l the program.

Fifteen minutes? Any popular tv show torrent will have the file on your HD in under five minutes if you've got a good connection.

Plus where you see spyware in torrents, I just don't know.

OK, so I watched Hogfather, and I think we have a new Christmas tradition here in the house of Pak. :^) Hits Pratchett's tone and sense of humor dead on. Never read the book (I'm starting from the start and working my way through. I'm up to Mort so far. Tyrant's already gobbled her way up to Moving Pictures. :^)) but it definitely seems faithful to Pratchett's vision.
