I'm a big fan of Quantum Leap, but it has one of the saddest finales I've ever seen. I don't want to spoil it if folks haven't seen it, but damn, they manage to break my heart with just six little words. I think I was supposed to find it somehow hopeful or uplifting, but NOPE. Super sad.
AGREED! I actually liked the episode up until that last bit. But yeah,  :'(

Watching the riff of Back to the Future 3 again. I think it's the accumulation of the running riffs from the previous two, as well as the different setting that makes this one my favorite of the three riffs. Well, that and a few of the riffs I wrote, heh.

The ending is so unsatisfying because it wasn't supposed to be a series finale.  NBC told them while they were filming that it would be the last episode.  There has been talk about a Quantum Leap movie with Sam's daughter but that's been around for a while so I have my doubts it will ever happen.  Casting anyone other than Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell would be a disaster in my opinion.

Last weekend I watched
Scott Zee ?Turkey Shoot's "Alcohol Is Dynamite".

"Whoa! Tintin is pissed!" was very good.  great catch there.
the subwoofer effect while the boys cruise by in the convertible cracked me up
the riffs when Jim is failing his sobriety check after the wreck and the riffs during the epilogue were also very funny.
and the wrap up brought it home strong (he's using some kind of Jedi mind trick date rape drug combo)

also watched Scott Zee / Turkey Shoot's "Fire - Patty Learns What to Do"
this short is very funny on it's own (like a lot of the old educational films) and provides tons of great openings to riff on.
the scenes w/ the fire marshal at the school were excellent
and the farm scenes with Patty are great
("younger Patty is played by Dick York")

and the fire scenes as well
("I don't care if my wife called you, get off my land!")

of the two, I thought "Patty Learns" was better, but probably because the short itself provided so much more unintentional comedy than "Alcohol".

while I am an iRiff noob, I would recommend purchasing both of these shorts.

Watched the Cinester Theater iRiff of Short Circuit again. Still very good. Probably the most lighthearted of the movies they've riffed, but in my opinion it still works. It's too bad General Skroeder is such a ridiculous 80s caricature. His concern over a rogue robot with a LETHAL ARMED LASER on it's shoulder isn't exactly unwarranted. And they keep talking about how many millions of dollars that these things cost, yet there is enough spare parts for at least two of them just kept casually in the van Steve Guttenberg drives around in (and drives away with at the end of the movie, after he quits NOVA Robotics).

Wow, Steve Gutenburg is really good. No wonder they still put him in stuff.

I love the running gag about the other robots being grumpy.

Destroy all babies mode activated.

Oh, don't mind that. Our Tom Tom is having an existential crisis. (Probably my favorite riff in this)

He's basically date-raping them right now.

I also told me that kidnapping is okay.

The Nightmare On Elm Street - The very first RoninFox Trax riff. It's been a while since I've watched this one. Or this movie for that matter. I was impressed with both.
The riff is good, although the joke density is a little lower than usual (but not too low).
Missing an "and we're back" after the syncing pause at the beginning.
The sound quality isn't very good on Mathew "DraCCu" (rather echoey), but Ronin's is nice a clear. Ronin also does a better vocal performance of the two.

Definitely recommended. Especially since going through the whole riff series is a blast.

Time for round 2 of Danny Devito-esque lovin'.

Like Yoko Ono - "Screeeee." - Exactly like Yoko Ono.

Ah, the raw sexuality drips off the screen like butter. Frozen sticks of butter.

Lucky that didn't make her late for Expositional Symbolism class.

I like the running gag about the Johnny Depp movie reference list.

Bye the way, are you the keymaster?

-NO mention of the fact that the sleep doctor is played by the guy who voiced Roger Rabbit?!-

I hearby christen this floor ready to sail.

In the puppet burn ward. It's new. (a reference to my favorite line from the Willy Wonka remake!)

Watched the Cinester Theater riff of Nightmare Before Christmas again. My annual viewing...okay my bi-annual viewing...ok, I watch it all the damn time!
One of my alltime favorite movies. Yet I am somehow not a goth chick.

By the way, if you are using the BluRay, there is no Touchstone logo on that edition. You will have to start the riff around 42 seconds in.

Ok, what's the deal with most of the riffs about the band being about them as criminals?

The Pumpkin King? I think Linus is looking for you, buddy.

Vote Quimby!

And remember, no murder!

You know, the real twist is the elves have been trying to scare the kids all these years.

This is how Fred Astaire fights too.

Note: They reference it so much, I'd really like to see them riff Beetlejuice.

Watching Bram Stoker's Dracula as riffed by Insert Coins to Continue.  I had forgotten there were so many big name  actors in this movie,  but so far no armadillos.  So far a great riff.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

In time for the holiday, I just watched the Cinester Theater riff of It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Still very funny. Fortunately this one doesn't have the (albeit minor but still distracting) sound issues that their riff of the Christmas special.

"I think Linus is going through menopause."

"I really saw him. I was blinded by his majesty. He was so great and pumpkiny."

I'd like to see them do another Charlie Brown special sometime. Maybe It's Magic, Charlie Brown, as that comes on the same disk. Also it has a LOT of potential for riffing.

Did you ever catch The Movie Asylum's riff of Halloween II, DG?  You should.  It's pretty good!

No I haven't. Their riffing on the Lost City part 10 was just okay. Can anybody confirm the quality, and in particular riff desity, of this? The Halloween movies are a slog for me and I'd hate to rely on a riff that had too much dead air to get me through.

In case you didn't feel his elbow nudging you, Steve-O was in the Halloween II riff.
(And also Lost City 5, but not 10)

The joke density is high.  Quality is a bit more subjective, but if you've enjoyed Lost City 5, or Phantom Empire 5, or my Christmas shorts, or Batman & Robin, or most of the Riff Raff Theater releases, I suspect you'll find something to like here.

If you (or anybody else) decides to give it a go, make sure it's not the version with the skit at the beginning. I see that the preview on the product page has reverted to the older, inferior version, so I fear the riff might have done the same.

Team Swizzlebeef riff of In The Suburbs - A good riff, particularly for it's length (around 20 minutes). Team Swizzlebeef is always a good group. I don't think this is my favorite of their I've seen, but I'd recommend it.
This short is a mostly black and white ad for Redbook, which glorifies the most bland boring white lifestyle ever. But BOY does it get weird around the 14 minute! With sudden war footage, Soviets, China, and then back to the blandness with nary a comment made. Uh...WTF?!

"They're glad to be here." - Brick chuckingly glad.

Stop crying and eat your brickettes.

F#&$ there goes my allowance!

Now this is called a night-for-night shot.

Why is the narrator freaking out?

Thanks. can;t remember half the quotes. All's I  remember is the bad sound quality and a terrible mike to do all the recordings through. Couldnt wait to trash that old Radio Shack crap rod.
