Hey there, I'm proud to announce that after last year's fun filled night, we're doing it again - twice this summer. We've just wrapped up setting the schedule for our 2008 Stone Late Night Movies and you can view it here...

http://www.stonebrew.com/movies

We'll be showing 300 (June 11th @ 9pm) and Matrix Reloaded (August 27th @ 9pm) both with Rifftrax riffing and Mike Nelson attending. We've even been squirreling away a specially dry-hopped cask of Stone Ruination IPA for the 300 night (since that's Mike Nelson's favorite beer) that we'll be tapping for everyone. If you've never had a cask beer, you're in for a treat.

Last year we had a great turn out that was overwhelming. It taught us a whole lot on a few changes we should make to make your night better:
1) Have a fresh battery in the wireless mic for Mike Nelson (dude, I'm still sorry about that one)
2) A special movie menu of snack foods will be at the ready, you don't have to use our dinner menu with sit-down-style entrees
3) Servers will be on hand to take your orders out on the grass, so you don't have to make the epic decision of either missing the movie or missing a beer
4) We'll be having an intermission so you can get up to drain out you prior favorite beverage (the servers won't help you with that one)
...we're striving to be the best no charging, beer serving, 32 tap having, movie under the stars watching experience around - and the fact that we're the only game in town doesn't mean we'll try any less hard.

We're really looking forward to both nights and are honored to have Mike Nelson and the Rifftrax fans as our guests once again. We were going to make Rifftrax nights the beginning and end to our lineup this year, but had to change the first showing because our CEO, Greg Koch, insisted that he couldn't miss a night. Look forward to seeing you guys again, cheers!

My post from last year on the forums regarding reservations still applies...

Quote
If you'd like to have dinner beforehand, it is highly advisable to RSVP (760-471-4999).  I would suggest that you plan dinner @ least by 7pm - you don't want to get done with dinner and then fight a crowd to find a place to sit. You can also order food at the bar, and both the inside and outside bar are open with 32 different beers on tap. As far as the movie, just show up early and stake your claim down in the beer garden.

The screen is rear projection and setup in the metal framing of our outside lounge area. So in this photo...

...you're seeing the back side of where the screen is setup. It's on the grass below where you'll want to find your place.

To the left in these photos...

Just hang a right at the bottom of the stairs, and you can't miss the 11.5 foot screen.

Good question... I need to check with Chef, but I'll go out on a limb and say the answer is yes.

Any beer can be Rifftrax beer.  Get sloppy drunk enough and walk through a public place and you'll hear all the sarcastic comments you need.

I didn't get to make it out last time so I'm really looking forward to it this year.

I'm hoping to make it to both of these. Look for me in a RiffTrax t-shirt Smiley

I was wondering when this would happen again.  I'll be there with my usual Rifftrax crew.

Stone makes some damn fine beers.  Every Tuesday we meet at a friends place and watch a rifftrax while drinking Arrogant Bastards.

Also, just to emphasize, make sure you bring a lawn chair!  Last time, I was stuck sitting in the grass, because I am stupid and forgot to bring one.

You ever open up a franchise location in the Denver area, I'll coral people there by force if necessary.   Wink  This sounds like 8,000 varieties of awesome.
