Weren't all the seasons of The Shield shot fullframe?

Season 1 was, but in season 2 they went 16:9.  It would blow my mind if they reverted back to 1.33:1 for season 3.

EDIT: After looking into it a bit more, it looks like you're right Doctor Who, The Shield was broadcast in 1.33.  But the show was apparently filmed in widescreen, then chopped down for broadcast.  And there are different versions of the show out there on DVD, some of them kept the 1.33 ratio, while other later releases went back to the 1.78 (at least according to the specs on amazon).  I just hope the used set I ordered online is widescreen.

...And I lucked out, the used set I bought finally showed up, and it's widescreen.

Dragon Wars.  With out the Rifftrax.

Wow I really hope this movie bombed,it is just so lound and stupid.  Everything bad that can be said about summer movies is in this movie.  It's just loud and stupid and nothing remotely interesting happens.  This is Sci Fi moive of the week bad.

New Moon on Friday and Rifftrax through the night

I used a bit of my Christmas cash to catch up on my TV on DVD purchases, and a few other titles.

All for about $75. The PS3 Watchmen game also has the movie included as well. And the Simpsons set still has the cardboard "Scratch the hell out of your discs" packaging. A frigging paper sleeve. Come on. It's less destructive to the environment than tossing a DVD in the trash heap.

The packaging on this version of the Simpsons isn't as bad as the last season--at least the discs can come out without ripping the packaging--but I still printed up a cover and put them in a 4-disc amaray case.

The packaging is why i have not gotten seasons 11 or 12 yet.  I don't want to take a chance and i can rent them off of Netflix.  I hope the Blu Ray of season 20 doesn't come in that kind of a stupid case.

Meh. If you buy it from Amazon and it's scratched, they'll refund it.  It's pretty low-risk anyway, as the scratches are superficial, and you just move them to a different case once you have it.

I wonder if the people behind the packaging know that everyone is doing this so they are not cutting back on greenhouse gasses one bit.

I think a lot of people are just putting them in paper sleeves.
