This is a nice drag-and-drop type program that will convert avi, mpg, mp4, vob, etc. files to a simple DVD-style for burning. You can also drag and drop in subtitle files (like our .srt file), and it will do the work for you - you can tell it where on screen to show them and how large to make them, too. They have a trial version, but I'm not sure how it functions (partial functionality or limited time trial), because I have the full version already.

If the DVD you are trying to reauthor has some form of copy protection that prevents you from just manually copying the file structure off the CD to your hard drive and then dropping that into VSO, I personally use the Xilisoft DVD Ripper software: http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-ripper-platinum.html

Again, free trial, but I don't know the exact functionality of the trial because I already have the full version. Also, I'm not saying that those programs are the be-all-end-all, they just happen to be the ones that I use because I got them both dirt cheap during promotional sales the companies were having. Xilisoft is great, and VSO works very quickly if you don't care about a pretty menu and just want the DVD done fast, or don't have time to mess around with programs where you have to put everything together yourself by hand.

I've noticed the PS2 timecode function was not on the older models.  I still have my old PS2 from the first year it was available and it's not on there, but my roommate's slimline PS2 from about a year ago that he thankfully keeps in the living room does.

So if you have an old bulky PS2 don't go insane trying to find something that isn't there.

Ah, ok then. I wouldn't know about the older model, I only got mine 8 months ago.

I'm not a big console gamer, and I only even tried the PS2 as a DVD player (because I remember hearing back in the day that they were shitty) last week, because I was having trouble getting my regular DVD player to recognize a DVD I made of some home movies from my digital camera. For some reason, my Samsung has a real problem recognizing non-commercial discs.

Yeah, just thought I'd throw that out there just in case.  As it stands right now I'm the only person I know other than my former roommate who still has one of the original bigger PS2s, but you never know.

I have used my current roommates PS2 for several riff-writing projects, including my Batman and Robin script and most of my "Foxtrax" projects, and I'll probably use it this week to get my LXG script written.  It is quite handy.

I'm having some troubles writing my script.  My best friend and I used to engage in entire conversations doing our Sean Connery impressions.  It was pretty funny and got really strange at times.  The only problem with it is I want to make every riff (as Sean Connery).  It's really hard to check myself.

I think the vast majority did the first half and then not much after.  A few did the whole thing with at least a riff every 30 seconds or so.  Others just watched the whole movie and wrote down things that were funny to them only when they popped up.  This time I'm shooting for 100%.  And despite the gap in logic you can actually give 110%.  Feel free to write down multiple jokes for the same time period if you can't decide which is the funniest.  Opinions vary and it's up to them to pick the best.
