Quote from: Associated Press
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Statewide tornado drills scheduled for Tuesday in Missouri and Kansas have been postponed because of a small risk of an actual tornado.

The National Weather Service postponed the drills on Monday to avoid any confusion. Thunderstorms are possible in parts of both states on Tuesday.

The drills are now scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday in both states.

The National Weather Service and the State Emergency Management Agency have declared the week of March 8-12 as Severe Weather Awareness Week for Missouri. Officials are urging residents to develop an understanding of weather safety issues and to have a plan in place if bad weather occurs.

And, as usual, we'll never get this done 'cause Thursday's forecast already has the threat of severe weather and sooner or later they'll just say to heck wtih the whole thing and not do it statewide.  I've not been cleared to go back to work yet if they're sending me to Iowa or Nebraska (doc wants me closer to home), but if something pops here in Missouri -- whee*!!

*No, I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone -- but it is a bit morbid to use the Weather Channel as your employment search and be the only person cheering the path of the hurricane/snow storms/etc.  Embarrassed

Same here....again, you'd think someone would turn off the heat (especially with all the bitching about the electric bill).

We're almost up to 50 right now. Can't wait until I'm done with working overnight (less than a week left!) so I can actually go out and enjoy it.

It's the high 60s...but there's a thunderstorm warning.  It's clouding up out there.

And then, there's been a tornado warning somewhere in the state so people on TV are freaking out - kind of like the people who set up cameras in Hawaii waiting for the tsunami......

Muggy 60 degrees this morning with heavy drizzle (barely detectable by radar) and calling for a high of 69.. We'll see Undecided
I'm already dressed for the weather in shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt Cool

Dunno outside right now, but I woke up at 6:00 to thunder outside and the rattle of hail on the windows.  Woke me from a disturbing, passover-inspired dream (there was fog in the streets killing firstborns, and though our lintel was painted someone left the door open).
