Title: Any disc encryption problems?
Post by: bettertomorrowamy on June 25, 2008, 11:55:16 AM
Anybody have any problems with the disc encryption of this movie?
I'm working on it now, and wanted a heads-up if anybody ran into any problems.

Thanks.

I think there should be a thread in each of these sections with problems re-authoring just so n00bs can find answers easier.

I used this one for my rip:

(https://forum.rifftrax.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fecx.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F418B01PT6CL._SS500_.jpg&hash=47011d445d867a4d20691b765a126f8d62065325)

It has two angles for the main movie so I used angle 1. I actually went ahead and shrinked it first then I demuxed the shrinked ISO to get my mpv and acs file. So far it looks good with no errors.

No, it was whoever had it before me.  I think they tried to play it on their hi-fi.

I used the Vista Series too.  It has an anamorphic 1:85:1 transfer and an added DTS sound track as well as additional extras, but the movie's the same as the Collector's Series.  No added or deleted scenes.  I'm still reauthoring, but there were no decryption or audio synching problems.

Well crap.  My reauthored title set has a sync problem just like with Dark Water.  I used AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter as usual, so now I'll try RipIt4Me and DVD Decrypter since that's how I got DW to work.  But it looks like I won't be watching SS until tomorrow.    :P

Well, that was a pain in the ass.  After four attempts, I finally have a reauthor that's in sync.  After the first two failed, I tried Mr. Torso's method and had the same result.  So I started looking a little closer and noticed that cell one of chapter one is only 0.15 seconds long.  I took a chance at deselecting that single cell prior to demuxing and it made all the difference.

Damn Vista series.   :D

Yeah. Something was amiss on mine after all. Even though the shrinked ISO i made first was in sync. I will play with it again tonight.

On my reauthorized copy, the subtitles and dialogue don't match.
