- Jurassic Park 4- I'll believe it when I see it.
- I, Robot 2 - again, believe it when I see it.

- instead of Saw 5, they should just make a TV series and be done with it! (btw 1 & 2 were the only good ones of the series). Plus Lionsgate needs to get off their ass and give us Cube 4 already!

Silent Hill 2 - Silent Hill is one of the worst movies of the decade.

Sequels that I'm most excited about... Ice Age 3, Transporter 3 (although 2 sucked), Grudge 3 (again number 2 was weak), Crank 2, Night at the Museum 2 (probably will disappoint), Cars 2, Toy Story 3, Super Troopers 2

"Stigmata 2"

"Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2"
Why?

"The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian"
Seriously?

"Point Break 2"
Uh...

Um, if you'd like to review the link and give intelligent commentary...that's kinda what the thread is for.

Are those real sequels Bratpop, cause they sound fake. Not really laugh out loud fake, just random. What sequel would YOU like to see B?

Am I the only one who thought "Cars" was Pixar's best film to date? Maybe it's just all my experience traveling cross country since childhood that made it feel close-to-home.

I liked Cars and would call it Pixar's best as well. As for the nostalgia that it brings? ... Well it reminds me of watching Doc Hollywood ... does that count as a childhood memory... 8)

No, it's called childhood trauma.   :)

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. Most of the links on that site fall into my 'I'll believe it when I see it' category. I tend to write off most sequel speculation as sensational journalism.

I am looking forward to Final Destination 4. Final Destination 2 was absolutely brilliant. One of the best horror movies ever made.

Studios deny everything, but for any sequel you can guess at, there's been a boardroom going, "So how soon can we get this out?" There are tons of scripts sold every week, some are remakes, sequels, adaptations of books that haven't been published yet, and many totally unbelievable ideas. A large number of these never get made, or not soon anyway, but at some point someone did fully intend to make them. Fans and media don't need to make these things up. There are even DUMBER ideas being considered even as we speak, and they are unspeakable.

All correct. ^^^

But why do sites, like the one linked, play they're game. Most internet sequel gossip is sensationalized.
What can we really make of something like this...

QuoteRambo 5
We shit you not. Lionsgate has taken an option on a further adventure for the most violent OAP on the entire planet. The earliest Den Of Geek can see it getting to the screen is late 2009/early 2010. Who would bet against, in AvP style, Rocky vs Rambo now?

... it might be a movie in the future, but I generally choose to wait for better confirmation. Like who will direct, star, and when does it begin shooting.

Silent Hill 2 - Silent Hill is one of the worst movies of the decade.
I disagree. It wasn't the best movie ever, but it wasn't bad.

QuoteSaw 5: ...should see the light before the end of the year.

I thought they were taking a year long break in between 4 and 5 and shooting 5 and 6 at the same time?

Say what you will about me, but they could make a new Saw movie every year until the day I die, I'll keep seeing them.

I'm with you JC.  This movie at least had the settings, tension, and basic plot of the video game down.  The execution stumbled in some parts but overall it was an okay movie.  Probably the best video game adaptation to date.  And yes, I know that's not saying much.

Saw 1 is a modern classic, so basically I feel obligated to keep watching them. Honestly though, I wouldn't be too sorry if Lionsgate stopped making them to focus on other horror films.

QuoteWar of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave: Another straight to DVD sequel, but this one's of note because it's directed by Soul Man/Hitcher star C Thomas Howell. Blimey.

And is this isn't a sequel to the Tom Cruise snore-fest....but for the direct-to-video one (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449040/) Howell made around the same time.

Excuse me that I find this hilarious....

Howell's version made enough for them to put together a sequel.

Cruise's didn't....won't...he followed that with a huge bomb and now he just can't seem to his Hitler Assassination film released....

Um... but nobody would make a sequel to War of the Worlds except those idiots who made the DVD/Sci-Fi version. It's not a question of the SPIELBERG version (not TOM CRUISE version) not making enough. I'm sure it made plenty for a boring movie with maybe four good scenes in it.

Oh sure, just because he's an underwear model, he can't act

C'MON!!
;D

add this to your list!

QuoteThe Boston Globe reports that supermodel Gisele Bundchen is being considered for the female lead in the fourth "Austin Powers" film. Apparently, Bundchen has already been given the script and her agent will soon meet with star Mike Myers and director Jay Roach.

The 27-year-old supermodel will be following in the footsteps of Elizabeth Hurley, Heather Graham and Beyonce Knowles, who had similar roles in the first three "Austin Powers" films. And while Bundchen is not known for her acting, she previously appeared in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Taxi."

Last May, Myers spoke about the potential fourth installment in the franchise. "There's one that we had an idea about and the only thing I will say is that it's entirely from Dr. Evil's point of view," he said.

All three films, "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery," "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and "Austin Powers in Goldmember" have earned over $676 million in worldwide ticket sales, while spending under $110 million on production costs.

Mark Wahlberg was good in the Departed. Plus he executive produces Entourage. In fact his 'new kid' brother is probably the more talented of the two... Band of Brothers is one of the greatest films ever made. Also Saw 2 is another great Donnie Wahlberg film.

No, I'm sure he is, the type of high caliber actor that can really make us believe he's robbing a bank while strips of hot wax are applied then swiftly removed from his nethers.

His performance in that series was great and it eventually led to me forgiving him for being the "bad boy" of the New Kids on the Block, but then they decided to do a reunion album and I just won't ever be able to look at 2nd Lt. Lipton the same way ever again. That son of a bitch.
