Title: Great Lines!
Post by: Trekker4747 on February 05, 2008, 04:58:05 PM
"This is a Unix system!"
"That system belongs to a eunuch? How is that even relevant?"

(mumbled) "The same thing happened when I first met Dr. Demento."

The John Williams score machine bit was great.  And Al going on about how his door at home has a BUTTON that when you push it the door locks...

"that's an excellent Jeff Goldblum impersonation" -referring to Jeff's acting on the helicopter ride to the island.

"Is that a dinosaur?"
"No."
"Is that a dinosaur?"
"No."
"Is that a dinosaur?"
"No!"
"This park sucks."

So many good ones, but these really stuck out:

"That's an excellent Jeff Goldblum impression"
"This guy's boring, does this island have any monkeys?"
"A mosquito park, that's what I could do..." Or something along those lines.
"Oh, the utter majesty! Imagine how much dog food you could make out of just one!"
"GIRL OR BOY?!?"
        Just awesome...

I liked the line about the raptor being the second greatest thing to ever explode from an egg (or something to that effect).

I just cannot believe there wasn't a "Hello, Newman!" joke.

No, but the reference to the Keith Hernandez episode made up for that.

Could be the first Keith Hernandez reference ever!

I liked the crack when Jeff Goldblum was posing for his calendar shoot.

"Ms. Poo Arms", "Girl or Boy", Definitly, the "Is that a Dinosaur?" lines!

I just cannot believe there wasn't a "Hello, Newman!" joke.

There kind of was, when he first appeared and Mike said "If only there were some way to greet this guy..." or something to that effect.

I also enjoyed "I stand by my filthy Muppet innuendo" and Mike's follow-up that he played bass for "Filthy Muppet Innuendo." That was a good running joke.

No, but the reference to the Keith Hernandez episode made up for that.

There was, "Man I really wish there was a way we could greet this character." and Al said "Hmm yeah nothing really comes to mind."

or something like that but either way I took that as the hello newman joke.

Definitely the whole determining whether or not the boy at the dig was a boy or girl. Nothing made me laugh harder than the moment Al shouted "BOY OR GIRL?!?"

I liked the part where Al was talking about Wayne's eating habits.  "Just because he dumps Cheeto dust on his pizza!", etc.

I liked the Alfred Hitchcock Presents theme as the raptor was casting its shadow on the wall.

this movie really had some great lines!!

DNA strands... "God's Lego's"

When grandpa is eating alone - "nothing soothes the pain of missing grand children than captain crunch with crunch berries"

(I'm sure I messed that one up but can't help it I was hollowing with laughter!!)

"Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain!" I could not stop laughing.  ;D

"Is he too white and Nedry?"

"The heterosaurus wore a little black strapless number and things just went from there."

"Just what they need, a panicky shrieking search party."
"With no pants."

"Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting waptors. Heheheheheh."

The Hitchcock theme was classic.

Truly an inspired RiffTrax!

(I forget the exact setup and punchline, but it's something like)
Ian: "They were so obsessed about whether they could, they didn't stop to think about whether they should"

"That's the same philosophy that the director of Jurassic Park III had!"

"A crowd gathers around to watch a goat lie down. You can call it 'Kansas: The Ride."

Now, come on Mike. You live(d) in Minnesota. Which is probably about 10x more boring than Kansas.

;)

Lot's of great lines in this one.

Quote"A crowd gathers around to watch a goat lie down. You can call it 'Kansas: The Ride."

And "I have a pizza here for I.C. Wiener." I about died laughing at that line!

When one raptor snaps at the other raptor when they first enter the kitchen:

"Hey, what did you that for!?  You know, you've been a real jerk to me since we were created in a laboratory!"

^ Something like that, I don't remember the exact quote, but I laughed really hard at that point.

"Surprise! Happy birthday to you, you are one year old . . ."

I listened to the riff again last night when AMC ran the movie, so I keep remembering more stuff. :)

After they've survived all the raptor attacks at the end of the film, Sam, Laura and the kids are cornered by another raptor blocking the entrance. Then Mike says "Cool! A dinosaur!"

That killed me.

Ditto this one.  Glad I swallowed my soda before they said that one.

I really liked the Goldblum Impression line too.

The "I used to play bass for.." is one of my favorite running jokes in a long time.

I really enjoyed it whenever Al yelled.  He just yells so well.  Especially when they're in the helicopter and they hit some turbulence, and Al starts screaming in terror.  Fantastic.

I also really liked Mike's drunk raptor voice, when they were getting fed the cow.  We need Mike to do his drunk voice much more often.

Another good example of Al's voice is when he says "Is that kid out there a boy or a girl? We all have questions..."
Or even when he yells: "BOY OR GIRL?!?!?!"

Good stuff  :)

One thing i will never forget is in the intro where Mike says Weird Al demanded to have Matryoshka dolls put into the trunk of his car then removed again before he agreed to do the rifftrax. That is so Weird Al.

OK. I know this thread has been dormant for almost 2 years, but  maybe someone is still checking it out and i have a question that has been bugging me:

What does Mike Nelson consider the Best best thing to ever pop out of an animated egg???

Please help me >.<

I don't know for sure what he was thinking of, but when I listened to this rifftrax I had recently listened to the rifftrax for Eragon (a favorite of mine), so that's the connection I made.  But for all I know he could have been talking about something from a Daffy Duck cartoon.
