I've noticed that this movie is being re-released on the big screen. If given the opportunity, would you bring your mp3 player into the theater to get the full rifftrax experience?
I'm sure that the good people at rifftrax can not condone this action, and laughing at moments of this movie may seem inappropriate to those around you, but this may be quite a unique experience. Any thoughts?

Where did you hear that? Do you have a link to any official news source regarding that? I know that Rob Zombie is doing a remake of Halloween that's due out in theaters this time next year. Is that what you're talking about?

Thank you!
That's pretty awesome. Too bad the theaters showing it in my area are farther than I'd want to drive to see it. Oh well.

The closest to me (Tucson, AZ) is Albuquerque, NM! Can't make it!
HAH! The Regal Cinema in Egan MN is showing it, I just moved the halloween track to my Ipod and am going to do my best to make it for one of the showings.
It is showing near me but both nights I have to work!!! AHHHH! I would love to go watch it in theatres but alas.....
anyone here in the minneapolis area that want to meet up at the cinema?
from what I've heard these "Big Screen Concerts" like the screenings of Nightmare on Elm Street aren't actual film prints being used. Just projected from a dvd.
I saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Close Encounters like that, it's still cool seeing them on the big screen with like-minded nerds.
Wouldn't drift be tricky in a theater? Can't pause the movie if it gets ahead...

No doubt. And this should not be pulled by anyone that isn't an experienced riff-viewer. I've also watched just about all the movies with subtitles, which will be missing on this big screen version.
That being said, you just don't know until you've tried it.
It's playing in my town. I don't think I'll do it though, because a) If the synching gets screwed up I can't pause the movie, and b) it would be sort of rude to everyone else to be laughing at random moments.
It's a great idea though.
I think alot of people want something like this to happen. What would be awesome is if Mike, Kevin, and Bill reunited to do a live riffing of a movie in a theatre.
With a bunch of people who WANT to hear and laugh to it....
What you guys say we try and convince Legends Film, and Mike and the boys to do this?
We'd need like- a Rifftraxcon to pull something like that out and make it worthwhile for us all to trek to wherever-they-do-it. :^)

I would go to Ireland but no England!! HAHA Joking.
I think some where in the midwest of the U.S. would make the most sense like say St. Louis?
Yout can;t pause the movie, but a quick press hold and release of the forward button on the ipod would do very nice, and, if it jumped too far ahead, there's always the pause button.
The other concern I had, was the laughter at what others would consider totally random, or just flat out wrong times. But I think I can keep to myself. If there's anyone else in the Minneapolis area thats gonna go to this showing, I'd love to meet a fellow MST3K and/or Rifftrax(Er) :)
My friend Wayne says Michael Myers is supposed to be included in a Freddy vs. Jason sequel. I can't say I believe him, 'cause I don't. But then again, I didn't believe him when he said they were making Freddy vs. Jason!
My friend Wayne sometimes tels me about when he saw Underworld 2 in theaters. During the last few seconds of a long fight scene, he shouted "Finish him!" and "Flawless Victory!" He said most of the other folks in the theater thought it was funny. Still, I wouldn't reccomend doing that in a theater.
