Title: What did we learn from Escape from the Pigs from SPAAAAAACE!
Post by: fodder650 on November 27, 2020, 05:17:24 AM
Well we learned that you can have a Greydon Clark movie that doesn't involve him in any way, shape or form
We learned that if time moves five years that people forget the past immediately as if it never happened. You know like how 2015 was fifty years ago (this may be true)
We learned that a Pinto (or Bobcat) makes for an odd Mad Max car
We learned that the Lost Stallone (trademarked by Rifftrax) does not make up for Toberlone in this movie
We learned that masks do not equal makeup and that you could have just as easily used muppets for the pig aliens
I learned that the spider thing that tried to attack our hero couple, while coupling, looked like it had human legs. Really go back and take a look
We learned that soundtracks are for other movies with budgets
I learned that maybe Battlefield Earth isn't so bad really

I learned.. as the above mentioned this is the most Graydon Clark movie that has nothing to do with Graydon Clark
I learned what an Italian knock off of an Italian knock off of a Hollywood movie would look like.
I learned i loved the callbacks. Especially to ROTOR.
I learned a movie can meander along with no vision or direction.
I learned pillow sex was a thing back in the 80's.
I learned what the Independence Day aliens would have done if they had won. And looked like pigs.

Normally I don't do this in the lesson thread but there are a few things to discuss @dbsummer
- The Graydon Clark thing is just weird. I couldn't even tell you what it was. Whether it was shades of "The Dark" or his kids space movie without the clown. It just felt one of his films.
- The pillow sex. Wasn't it odd how fast our female lead ignored that when they got back on the ship? He wasn't the only guy around. Okay he was the only one with a ship.
Speaking of which. How did the ship go from uncontrollable to flies great in the atmosphere?
Now I want to see what an Italian knock off of Last Shark would have looked like.
