You've got to remember, they are marketing this movie to people dumb enough to go see it.

Seems premature.  They never had an introductory movie for Aquaman, The Flash, or Cyborg.

This spoiler is even dumber than that; they couldn't resist desperately teasing it at the end of BvS.

This is expected to premiere at under $100M in the US and (having seen it) I can assure you it will plummet in subsequent weekends, like every non-WW DCEU flick.

under 100 million? Wow that's going to hurt.

Didn't this movie cost upwards of 300 million?! Or was that for the two movies together?

Wow, are people actually starting to learn from the past?

WB needs to scrap everything and start over with Geoff Johns in the role Feige holds for Marvel. Then they need to plan, be patient, and not announce a thousand different movies all at once.

Geoff Johns has been co-running it since 2016 with Jon Berg. Personally I can't stand Johns' work, he's one of those writers whose work always seems stuck in the past to me.

Just scrap all the other movies in this series and just make several Wonder Woman movies.

Regardless, they need a Kevin Feige. It amazes me that DC Entertainment has zero control over the properties they were specifically set up to produce. Johns and someone else (i forget who) talked about how he had reservations over the direction Snyder was taking Man of Steel, yet were unwilling or unable to step in and say no. And then they failed again at getting Batman vs Superman to not double down. And the only reason Justice League isn't a depressing Snyder mess is because he had to step down. Instead it was just a depressing mess.

It makes me wonder if Wonder Woman was a DC Entertainment controlled project or not since it's so different from everything else that came before.

The only DCEU movies I'm looking forward to are Wonder Woman 2 and Shazam.
Is Shazam even still in their plans? And I shudder to think of DC trying to make a boy turning into a superhero work in their grimdark movie universe.

Zachary Levi is Shazam.

And in typical WB fashion, Black Adam gets his own movie.

I just looked him up. He looks like the most generic leading man ever.

I don't disagree with that, I just think one of the key things that makes Feige so good is that he is a movie producer who loves comics and not the other way round. I think, like Feige, DC probably need someone we've probably never even heard of.

Justice League isn't so bad. It even tries to make a counterargument to the dark outlook its movies have had until now. The best of the DC movies still isn't nearly as good as even the worst Marvel movies, but I feel like the hate that gets heaped on them is a bit extreme.

Excellent review and analysis of the mistakes made over the life of the DCEU, and the consequences of Justice League's disastrous reception:

I have heard about the end credits scene. What I don't get is if they are leading up to Darkseid (who Steppenwolf mentions is his master), then why would we care about the Legion of Doom? They seem like a much more low scale threat than a galactic conqueror.
