What happened to the kid? Y'know, the 9 year old who was terrified of friendly dogs, then later stole a truck to go buy beer. Did he crash into a tree, drive into the river, run over the pontoon guy, drive into the river and hit the pontoon guy. Or just get arrested for being a 9 year old driving and/or trying to buy beer. I choose to believe any or all of those things.
The only thing that makes this movie bearable is the certainty that all the loathsome characters got what was coming to them. Though I have to admit, I actually felt bad for the fat guy by the time he got killed.

Yeah, I was surprised at how nice (relative to the other characters) he was later in the movie. I guess the first scene was him on a really bad day.
They had to kill off the fat dude and the exercise girl. Otherwise we'd spend the rest of the film rooting for the Toltecs because they were only killing off the unsympathetic characters.
I found the exercise girl much more attractive in her nightie than I did the exercise get-up. I dunno, exercise clothes in the 80s were just hideous, with those very high-wasted panties and such.
But I did like the fat-guy, I was looking forward to a lot of humor from/at him after his opening scene, unfortunately he wasn't in it too much more. But he did seem sort-of genuine and seemed to have a good relationship with his little nephew.
Sigh, off to write my Funny Fat Uncle/Crenshaw fanfic.
