The reviews thus far have been absolutely stellar. I'm looking forward to it.
As a certified graduate of the punky-brewster college for really bad puns, I have
to give my thoughts as to all possible future reviews in a nutshell.

"Even if you don't go ape, you'll go bananas for Dawn of the planet of the apes!
These apes aren't monkeying around! They're here to throw a monkey wrench
into your gorilla warfare! These apes are so out of control they will have you crying
'APE!'"

That was incredibly impressive. It's amazing how emotional they were able to make some of the exchanges. And I love that they gave Andy Cerkis top billing.

I was pretty blown away, there were many times that I forgot I was even watching a movie.

I'd like to see this. RISE was good, but I think I prefer the original movies. Hopefully it plays in my town soon.

I noticed that, too. His name was the first to come up when the credits started rolling and I cheered.

I enjoyed this movie a lot, although not as much as Rise. When James Franco took Caesar to the monkey pound and Caesar starts to figure out what is really going on and how he has the ability to change everything is just magical. I loved that movie. But Dawn was still excellent and has the distinction of having the image of an ape riding a horse through fire with assault rifles in each hand. I broke down laughing in astonishment when I saw that and I don't think I'll ever forget it. It's right up there with Godzilla gearing up for atomic breath.

They need to switch the movie titles, though. Dawn should have been the first movie and Rise should have gone with this newest movie.

I really wonder where things are going to go from here. I thought maybe in the final movie of the trilogy, the apes will wipe out humanity but in the end the Apes will be split into the two factions. I thought maybe that even though they all think humans are wiped out, the Apes are forcing the last remaining humans to build nuclear weapons for them or something, and that would lead to Caesar's words "Man is the Devil's pawn," which are misinterpreted later.

I thought Caesar could go down in history as this figure who wanted peace, peace more than anything and willing to sacrifice anything for it. But in the future, his children would pervert his ideals and misinterpret his message, kind of like how religions used the word of God/Jesus to commit mass genocide against "heretics"(humans).

I can't wait to see this. I may just have to take a solo run to the theater for a matinee.

Gorilla warfare?  Reminds me of the troops in Time of the Apes:  Atten--shun!  Fujh-ling crap!
