Title: So what other Adorable Mostly Harmless Animal can you turn into a monster movie.
Post by: Road_Element on February 15, 2014, 03:06:57 AM
Frankly i dont know who came up with this one. I had a pet Rabbit for a while when i was young. And really Rabbits do only two things, Eat and Poop. They dont have much in the personality department unlike a dog. I get that Australia was overrun by Rabbits. Because there were no natural predators. But how is that a basis for a Giant Bunny Monster Movie. I would love to see a Giant Squirrel Movie Staring Leonard Nimoy.

Well, rabbits actually do *three* things. They eat, they poop, and they breed like, well, like rabbits.

I'm not sure where the idea came from to make rabbits the "monsters" in this movie, heck I'm not even sure if the more correct, titular, hares would have worked.

How about hamsters? Now THERE'S your scary animal!

If hamsters were the monsters, our hero science couple ( it would HAVE to be a dating couple) could grow giant gerbils to fight the hamsters.

And at the end of the movie, you would see a mouse glaring at all.  Then a shrew in part 2

I bet SyFy has already spent money on this.

Somehow, against all hope, you survived the Night of the Lepus.

But with the coming of the sun, a new horror arises.

How long can you possibly endure against...

The Dawn of the Dachshund?

The continent is nothing BUT predators!

If Australia had Tribbles, they would scuttle about on 8 scorpion stingers, have acid blood, and a gaze of save vs. Instant Death.

Actually, as they are, how do we already know that Tribbles aren't from Australia? I mean they're dangerously cute, dangerously ravenous and procreate like nothing else!

For real though.  What creature down under isn't venomous?  And don't get me started on the Drop Bears.

Cocktail shrimp?  No, Night of the Blood Beast did that.  Baby squirrels?  Lemurs?  Red Pandas!  That's my final answer, the Red Panda AKA Firefox.  Possibly the cutest living animal.  See them here (https://www.google.com/search?q=red+panda&espv=210&es_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=Af0wU6biH-fX0QGQioGgDw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=775) if you're not familiar.  Some giant ones could snuggle the world to death in a matter of days.
