What does everyone think? I thought it was a horribly depressing film, whose only redeeming factor was... was... hold on, it's coming!
...the fun I'm going to have making the Rifftrax DVD cover for my collection.
Well I just watched this a few hours before work and I actually quite enjoyed it. You've got some parts that are quite fun, and a nice little twist at the end.
Talk to the hand!
I found it to be boring...for a Terminator movie. It felt all to similar to T2 only not as good.
In the end, everything goes Boom! Boom! Big pretty clouds n' stuff
Me liked!
Well...I didn't think the acting (non arnold) was bad....and this John Connor was WAY WAY WAY less irritating than the damn kid in T2...
Seriously, go re-watch T2, there's about 500 pubescent voice cracking shrilly screams
It totally contradicted the events of T2 though, I wonder what will happen in T4 or other movies about complex iodine molecules! :P

No Eddie Furlong though!
All I remember was thinking, toward the end, isn't that flying-thing a little small? Remember the hovering gunships from the first two films? Doesn't one of them fly over our heroes at the end and is about the size of a tricycle?
Introducing the new iHK Nano!
I found this movie mildly entertaining, but it never should have been made. Like Leopold_Stotch said, there were a lot of contradictions that bugged me, and the movie never offered any explanations.
They were initial models/prototypes of what was the come, you had the tracked and the flying HunterKillers in their Proto-forms.
I liked the movie a lot, although I thought the actor that played John Connor did a good job, would've preferred them to use Edward Ferlong for continuities sake
Loved the movie. Love the Terminator series. It's nice sci-fi/action-y commentary on the concept of fate (wrote a college essay about it, even for Freshman Comp 2). Pak and I also saw it the very day Arnold got voted into office for CA. I can't wait for this one.

I think he dropped off the radar a long time before they made this thing
Ed was cool in Brain Scan and Pecker, I'd of liked to see him revise the role, would've really amped the movie up in my opinion (It couldnt of been for budjet concerns, they spent like 180 million on T3, they could've thrown enough money at Eddie to get him to do it)

He was good in
American History X, though.
I forgot about that....he was VERY good in American History X...though still pathetic compared to Ed Norton in that film
I haven't seen the films since it first came to DVD. All I can remember about it was that it just seemed like it was just a set-up to a 4th film. I have no recollection of major plot points at all. At least it was still rated R. I bet a 4th film will be PG-13.
naw, it ended the series rather logically dude. No chance for a sequel.

Really....?? I can't remember squat about it.
Since when has a sequel needed logic to proceed?
And this really cost $180 million? Wow, way to not let it show up on screen. I really thought it was way underfunded vs T2. But then again, I imagine like $40 mil was just to Ahnold anyway.

indeed logic does not a sequel need ;D
yup,
its on the dvd somewhere but I forgot either disk 2 or the comentary track. Lord knows the "total" cost after you factor in promotions and advertising
edit: actually scratch that first part, I think I read it online somewhere, I'll do a search for it
Ed Furlong was too busy freeing lobsters to make this movie.

Pretty cute, too. I'd do him (ducks).
RE: set up for next movie... Last line is "The battle had just begun." OF COURSE they meant for another one-- the rebellion, the robot trying to kill the leader on that specific date? Come on, just think of the plastic cups you could SuperSize to with that one!
And can I just add that the scene where Claire Danes cries over her fiance is completely whack? She's not crying because he's dead, but because she feels guilty that it happened "because of her." Seriously, re-watch it. His extreme douchiness aside, that part bugged.
Couldnt they very easily do a fourth movie and it will be about what all three other movies kept talking about but never showed except in brief flashbacks....... The humans rising up against the machines?
Now THAT could be a good movie.

they already made that movie, its called Matrix 3.
honestly though, it would be really hard to make a movie set in the future, it would be just like the matrix sequels and bear little to no resemblems to the previous films...
this is why there will never be a terminator 4... they destroyed the planet for chrissake
Furlong would have to get rid of his beer-belly to star in any more Terminator flicks.

Well, in the interest of playing devil's advocate (hey, it's a
job, okay?), I would point out that, in a horrible situation like that, one's feelings of sorrow and guilt would probably be pretty mixed up, and likely to commingle.

It wouldn't be that difficult, they could build some sets and green screen the rest of it, just like 300. It doesn't really matter if it doesn't resemble the other movies, it would be recognizeable from the future war sequences in the previous movies. It wouldn't have to be like the matrix sequels at all if they did it right.
Judgment day wasn't they end of the world. It was when SkyNet became self-aware and began the war of Man vs. Machine. We never actually see the WHOLE PLANET get blown up.
Besides, if the world had been destroyed at the end, then the terminators would never have been built, and the movie wouldn't exist! :speechless:

Blue screen heaven.
Hmm, I take everything IMDB says about unrealesed films witt a grain of salt. Has anyone heard anything official about this?
Movieblog, movieweb, variety are all reporting on it. They say the governator won't be in it though, but might make a cameo.

All you flabby gurly men... ah craaap.
His torso looks like a half baked cookie when you try to scoop it from the cookie sheet and it scrunches up... you know what I'm talkin' about.
Yet you can guarentee that 60 year old man is probably in better shape (apart from the broken leg) than most the people on this forum.
You see people post that one and the other one at the beach, and laugh at the guy, seemingly forgetting his age, and their own damn bodies.

If that's the case then Gawd help us all. :P
yeah poor arny, i dont know why everyone expects him to look like he did 40 years ago lol.
I liked it a lot, the only scene that caused me pain* was when the Termantrix-controlled cars suddenly could some how see and control their steering...and I swear one used turn signals.
*apart from the kind of pain you get when Kristina Lokken appears naked on screen and you're sitting kind of funny so your pants are too tight in the....you know what...nuff said.

Hehe. Because he's a God of pop culture, and we expect our Gods to be eternal. Since he's known for being
pumped-up!, he's almost not Arnold anymore if he's less than statuesque. It'd be like Elton John suddenly getting a crew cut, some average clothes and deciding to work at an accounting firm.
