Title: Blockbuster Online frustration
Post by: MSTJedi on March 10, 2007, 08:12:40 AM
Darn you Rifftrax-ers! I still haven't listened to this one because I can't find it in the Blockbuster store (not even in stock at all) and it's remained on a "Short Wait" ever since I put in in my queue. Send the freakin' movie back, people, so I can see the overacting wonderfulness that is Shatner . . .  being made fun of. I've seen the movie on TV before . . . actually kind of like it, really. Not because it's necessarily good, but because Bill's a hoot to watch - especially when there are two (two!) of him on the screen at the same time. Good stuff.

Does Blockbuster  in the US not carry R rated movies?  I guess NC-17 for you?

Yes, Blockbuster carries rated R movies, but not NC-17.

However, you'd be hard-pressed to find a copy of Star Trek VI in the actual store, since it's such an old movie. You can find it online, but then you have to deal with the fact that it's an old movie, so they probably don't stock too many of them.

You might just have to bite the bullet and buy it at your local Best Buy.

Blockbuster sucks anyway.   ;)

Yeah, it does suck at times, but I can actually rent movies (and games w/ a printed coupon) in-store when I return the online movies there. It's the only reason I have Blockbuster instead of Netflix. That way I end up being able to have 2 movies and/or a game at a time instead of the one movie I'd get from Netflix. What can I say, I'm cheap. What really sucks is that they have ST I-V in-store, but not VI. You're right, though. I may just have to buy the darn thing. As I said, I do kinda like the movie, anyway.
