I learned that mullets just never looked good.
That the Pontiac Transport/Chevrolet Lumina minivan apparently had an RV trim level.
That it's possible to go the better part of two days without drinking water.
I learned, again, that Wings Hauser should never headline a film.
Does anything really STAR Wings Hauser?
I also learned that being a zombie is apparently only a 24-hour affliction. It's sort of like having a sort of annoying flu.
You can make coffee without wat..
MY AAAAASSSS!
Oh yeah, and vehicles blow up for no apparent reason and launch people 10 yards into the sky.
If somebody you love turns into a zombie or a mutant or something, just assume that there is no cure and go ahead and try to kill them, even if they are safely locked up.
The main characters have AWESOME intuition. They were able to jump to the correct conclusions every time with little or no information.
Even if you are extremely curious about why a group of people turned the townspeople into mutants or whatever and are trying to kill you, or even just who they are or who they work for, don't bother to ask them about it if you manage to capture them, just go ahead and kill them.
And it's no problem at all finding the bad guy in the middle of desert (really Arches National Park, a place I've visited several times).
That soggy croisants are rage inducing.
That Canyonlands isn't just a National Park but a "real" town where neptoism in the police force reigns.
That sometimes no one pays attention to boobies.
That....what the hell happened in the movie?!
Apparently the eyes of albinos don't have working irises, take away their sunglasses and they are blinded. Also albinos are telepathic, able to command squads of soldiers without ever saying a word.
And blood can still work to keep you alive even if it turns green. And after it wears off you are perfectly fine. Must be Hulk blood or something, do the people now back to normal have to watch their temper from now on?
Director: "Hey guys, I have a great idea...let's rip off 'The Crazies', but use Wings Hauser as the star!"
Water: George Kennedy hasn't touched it in years.
Well, to be fair, he was lying a TAD when he said that, given he used some that morning to make coffee. Still. Which sort of brings up the point that we learned that apparently George Kennedy, George Kennedy's Daughter (feathered hair hot cop lady) and everyone else we saw in this movie apparently unaffected by this virus didn't shower that morning. Now, sure, it seemed maybe you had to ingest the water in order for this, whatever, to impact you but I posit it's hard to take a shower and not at least get SOME water in your mouth.
It also seems that the doctor, the entire staff at the hospital (and presumably by extension their patients) ALSO didn't drink water -or anything with water in it- that morning. Everyone in this town is suffering from severe dehydration.

It also seems that crazy overalls guy, the doctor, the entire staff at the hospital (and presumably by extension their patients) ALSO didn't drink water -or anything with water in it- that morning. Everyone in this town is suffering from severe dehydration.
Having seen shots of the town, I can believe none of them took shower, or bathed in any way that morning.
I learned that if you watched real closely you can see the full boom mic in certain scenes (especially in 27:14). Yeah its that bad.
