I learned... BOOBIES!!!!
Oh, also that working at NASA can be pretty damn stressful.
I also learned, yet again, that NASA is staffed by two, three people at most.
I learned that Dr. Bragin's irrational bouts of rage never stop being funny.
I learned that you can name a movie with a character and plot point that have nothing to do with the movie. In this case there was no Dr.X and no revenge anywhere in site.
Its kind of like Pod People. That movie had neither pods nor people. :)

We learned Kevin still has a thing about Ft. Worth.
I enjoyed the Sea Hunt sketch. Glad to hear my demographic referred to, although I've heard all the kids are staying up late to watch the Sea Hunt and Highway Patrol reruns on This tv.

Didn't know there were reruns of both those shows. The boobies scene would have been a nice guest appearance by Joel with an umbrella (admittedly several.)
God I wanted that jerk doctor to be killed every second!
I learned that to revive a plant that you think is near death, keep it in an enclosed box away from sunlight.
I learned that...it's a car ride.
I learned that roosters crow at random, well into the day.
I learned that tires can squeal on dirt roads!
I learned that no one was smart enough to attack a slow moving plant with a butter knife to kill it.
I learned that apparently either the venus flytrap or the underwater anemone has ears, because why else would Dr.X run around calling for the monster...

After all of the horrible movies that MST3K, CT, and Rifftrax have done, I think we learned that looooong ago.
I learned that 50-plus-year-olds can easily move large boulders out of the road.
I learned that Japanese women will pretty much put up with any abuse.
I learned that the guy who picked the music for this movie deserves the death penalty.
I learned that we are descended from plants, as proved by the fact that cross-breeding a venus fly trap and a sea tentacle produces a puppy eating monster.
I learned that an active volcano is a poor location to open a resort.
I learned that the goat always wins. BITCHES!!
I learned that humans are decended from plantlife, because some asshole scientist managed to make an ineffectual monster. IRREFUTABLE PROOF!
I learned that the only thing preventing Dr. Bragin from becoming a mad scientist was the stress of office work.

Actually, this is true. Roosters simply don't crow at night. One of the few things this movie got right.

I did wonder about that. But I felt like being snarky anyway. Besides, why did this movie keep having that damn crowing so often in that one scene?

Simple, this movie had some kind of compulsive disorder. It was unable to do anything just once. How many times did that woman get up to look out the window? Or the guy walk to the greenhouse? Or the driving, oh my, the driving, please stop the driving..... :'(
Driving.
