Did anyone else think the male lead was going to transform into a handpire-mutant-zombie by the end of the story? He got splashed with zombie juice. Zombie-drained bodies fell on him a lot. He complained of sickness repeatedly and got so bad he passed out for a while. Was this an aborted plot thread for an alternate ending or just misleading telegraphing?
