I, personally, think this is one of the guys' best VODs.  Hell, this one should've been (should be) a RT:Live! event.

Agreed. I'm not even done watching it, but so far this is funny as hell. :D I'll have to finish it (and watch it again) before ranking it though.

EDIT: After multiple viewings, gave it a 10. My favorite release since Setting up a Room.

I'm Jim Dalen!

I've been humoring myself w/ appending the above to many things since I saw this on Saturday. I kinda love that guy, and because of that, I gave it a 10.

...for god's sake, help me. HELP! HELP!! *screams*

Jim Dalen pretty much rules. This was a great riff. These movies really have that MST feel to them, and I think it makes the riffing that much better. I even expect to look down and see the silhouettes sometimes. Certain blockbusters also lend themselves well to riffing, with because they're terrible, e.g. X-Men 3, or goofy, e.g. Potter. But movies like Captain America don't always provide that target-rich material. I though Captain America was very flat and it seemed like they just reaching for jokes most of the time, whereas shit like Ghosthouse was just made for it.

I like Ghosthouse so much I even bothered to retrieve my forum password so I could post a pointless comment about it!

I thought it lost a little steam near the end but still this was one of the best VOD downloads the guys have done and I think it needs it's own DVD release.

Agreed! (on all counts)

I wish I could give this one a 15 out of 10.

They were on fire with this one!!  The movie was just perfect for it (very Pod People meets Troll 2 meets Merlin's Shop... etc) and I there were times I had to pause because I was laughing too hard to breathe.

The parking song is my favourite part.

10!  I felt like I was watching a classic episode MST3K.  This needs to be a live show.

I thought this was an 8. My girlfriend thought it was a 7.5.

A lot of fun but not as dead on as Galaxy Invader.

I hate to be the first one to chime in with negativity, but I was not impressed with this release like past VODs.  :speechless:

It wasn't a total let down but not up to the others, I agree. Sort of the Hobgoblins of Rifftrax.

Hobgoblins is a hilarious episode of MST3K!

It's funny but  I would rank Hobgoblins a 6 among MSTs. I gave Ghosthouse an 8 btw. I was thinking not just about laughs but the "feel" of the movie.

I didn't care for this one as much as most of the others, which I love. But a lot of that is most likely the movie's fault.  I JUST COULDN'T ENJOY IT BECAUSE THE DAMN THING STARTED WITH A KID MURDERING A CAT...AND THEN HER PARENTS.  Even though it was obviously a stuffed toy I am just stupidly sensitive about this particular thing and I also get the feeling, from the leaning of the riffs in both this and past movies, that the guys don't like cats.

"That's one of God's creatures..."
(riff) "No, it's a cat..."

They never say that sort of thing about dogs.

I will have to watch the rest of it again to see how good the rest of the riffing was, from a more objective point of view.

I'm well-aware how silly and puerile this must seem to the rest of you.  I have had no purer love come from anyone in my life than from my parents and my cats that I've had through my life.  I'm a Crazy Cat Lady, except for the fact that I do not hoard them and never will.  One at a time only! But love them I do - and without a doubt, they've loved me in return, not just my goddamn provision of their Fancy Feast.

I knew I should have picked that Road Warrior knockoff instead of this movie.

"It's just a show...I really should relax" <-- damn'd useful mantra, that.

:scared:

Ohh man...ohh man....this is, without a single shred of doubt, one of the greatest things I've ever seen.  This is up there with my favorite MST3K movies, and is in every way worthy of that rarefied company.  My wife and I absolutely loved this Riff.  It was the first we have been able to buy to support the guys, and we are super excited to be able to do that....but man, did we get our money's worth!  We still will sing the "driving scene" song to each other every now and then.  We'll be quoting this riff forever.

A lot of laughs in this one, although I didn't seem to have as much fun with it as I did Future Force. A few spots that maybe lagged / a little dull... but still a really solid riff overall. Three outta four stars, rounded up to 8.
