There are some things in life that you'll do without a second thought. Lend a friend a quarter. Help an elderly woman across the street. And if you're like the lead character in The Devil's Hand, join a satanic cult to sacrifice your fellow humans in the name of The Great Devil God Gamba.
Yes, when he encounters the owner of a mysterious doll shop, Rick Turner turns his back on his friends and family to embrace a life of voodoo in the name of the author of all lies. But to his credit, there wasn't anything good on TV that night.
Once signing up for the cult, Rick is drawn into a sinister web of chanting and plodding drumbeats that make Meg White look like John Bonham. Will voodoo executions follow? They will! Will the victims relish the sweet embrace of death as a way to escape the incessant drumming? Probably! Should you immediately download this RiffTrax? The Great Devil God Gamba* commands** it!

And bought. I hope these have done well for the guys, as I really loved the Crater Lake Monster video riff.
Passed on it for now, but did go back and bought Maniac and Planet of the Dinosaurs which I missed..
Got to wait until I get home to download this. Hurry up, clock! Move!
Dammit! It's gonna take over 1 Day to download it here in Mexico!!
Now it shows 2 days+ and climbing.. :speechless:
I'll have to cancel and re-try the download tonight when there's less internet traffic and see what it looks like in the morning.. :-[
Is there a D2B option for this coming, or will it only be VOD?
I'm downloading it now! Can't wait to watch it! :D

I had this problem last year in June with that other VOD movie that was released back then.. Planet of the Dinosaurs I believe, and it took till Hell froze over it seemed :-[
This is gonna suck big time! I just hope I don't lose power! :'(
Wow, my mind must be going. I could have sworn the announcement video said June 5th. I even remember thinking how odd it was that that wasn't a Wednesday. Well, I liked the sample and just finished downloading the DivX version (I'll download the MPEG while watching it).
It's a good thing I check this site obsessively... :-\

Downloading mine now..... at fast US speeds, not that RVR II Mexican speed.
I hope these VODs are doing well too because I sure would like more of them.
Oh, the ISO image is included in the VOD.

I'm eagerly waiting for my next payday, hoping I can work this into the budget. Damn, why'd the good stuff have to come out while we're poor?

Hey, you're right! I didn't even notice that. Maybe my complaining about there being separate options paid off.

That was actually taken care of internally when we asked, "Why the hell are we doing it separate, again?"

Cool, the mpg file being the same quality as the DVD image is also great to have now, I put it on a USB drive and played it on my new TV directly.
Yeah, I LOVE the large MGPs that are awesome to play on the ipad as it is, or convert to DVD using DVD Flick.
So many ways of watching Riffs!

Have you checked your internet tubes to ensure they are not clogged?

I know that Rifftrax loses a certain amount of money towards piracy, so I have a suggestion. Charge RVR 25 cents per post. The new revenue will more than make up for anything you could possibly be losing toward piracy.
My buddy and me, we climb up a tree....
That's the only part of the jingle I remember...and it HAS been stuck in my head for days :P Thanks for bringing it up, Mike :P

Yeah, but we'd jump so many tax brackets so quickly that we'd get hit with a RICO investigation.

I'm on your case, Bob.
By the way, if that bothers you, you can get rid of me pretty easily. Just spray Riff-Grease-Be-Gone on the case, let stand for three minutes , and wipe with a dry cloth.

Well I never :o
I enjoyed this one, but there weren't really any lol moments. Just a nice, steady, funny.
This movie feels like if Ed Wood filmed a Jack Chick tract about cults.
Speaking of which, I googled his name to make sure I had it spelled right. His website is Chick.com! I wonder how many people surfing for porn got VERY dissapointed.

I thought I might be up for some evangelical gospel porn, but nope, I wasn't.

Nerd trivia: The two lead actresses are sisters...weird
I had a weird feeling that the fat mustachioed cult member identified as the reporter's sponsor in Devil's Hand looked familiar. Turns out I remember him from a bit part in Wild Wild World of Batwoman. If you recall the unbelievably bizarre scene where Batwomen et al crowd around a phone and take a call from an "Asian" gentleman, this whole time "sponsor" aka "Seltzer" aka Bruno VeSota is seen looking around nervously in the background. Perhaps his instincts in that situation were spot on.

By the way, the mpg2 video is much smaller on this one but I found it to be noticeably better quality than the ISO video. It looks like they re-encoded or something to make the DVD because it is kind of blocky. Check out the logo at the very beginning to see what I'm talking about.
