Title: Explain a riff
Post by: Compound on May 21, 2010, 08:26:43 PM
Okay, I'm rewatching PotC and I hit a joke in the sword fight between Depp and Legolas in the smithy.

"It's the biggest fight since PG vs. Frances."

I swear that reference is familiar, but I can't nail it down. Anyone want to spoil where that comes from?

it's actually "Pee Wee" vs Francis, referencing the fight scene in the pool in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

D'oh. Stupid homophone-ish words.
