My guess is that the point of the interview was that Keith was a fan when MST3K started, he wanted to point out that they are back mocking movies and he had the three original guys on.

Yeah...and in order to get the "publicity", you appear on camera when you're invited. Going there with no intention of appearing on camera before hand could be misconstrued as an "F U" to the host....resulting in "bad publicity" and no one being invited back. Why risk it?

They commented on Facebook that the producers only allowed three of them to be on camera, so they probably all went because they were all invited, but only the three appeared because they were the originals??
