It's on right now, and they are censoring out all the horrendous thrusting ass. This version would have been much less traumatic for a first-viewing.
And it has spaceghost segments with Wiseau.
Hmmm. Odd.
Check the calendar. They did this last year on this date as well.
Yeah they did it last year too, but without the nifty Space Ghost bumps. It was how I was first introduced to The Room. :^)
The Space Ghost segments are excellent! You can hear Tommy try to talk to them about his sitcom at the end! Keep trying, Tommy.
So I was I the only one who every time that warning about "recording copywrited material" came up on the screen wanted to tape or DVR it just out of spite...?
And I own the damn thing already (for Rifftrax purposes)!!!!

That's the one thing I didn't get. I think it was supposed to be a joke, since why would anyone want to distribute that movie as a bootleg?
I caught a few bits of this at work the other night and I must say that The Room is hilarious even without the Rifftrax. Maybe even better without the Rifftrax?

I get the feeling that - Wiseau being who he is - probably wouldn't let them show it again unless they put that onto the screen. Because he forgets that the Supreme Court already decided that if you broadcast something, people can record it....
I want to see it live, just once.

I think if they brought it here as a recurring Midnight Show, I'd be a regular. The movie is that good.

It comes here to Metro Atlanta about every eight weeks. I've been meaning to go.
They had a showing here in Denver in mid-March but I don't know how often they show it.
BTW, I'm still stuck on that dumb crawl about "copyrighted material"....
I keep wanting to run off some copies from my DVD, just grab some random names out of the phone book and mail them out...just out of spite. :P
Here's a Youtube of the Space Ghost snippets:
Going to be a showing in Denver tomorrow on the 9th (Landmark's Esquire 590 Downing St.,Denver, CO 80218)...
I'm so jealous.

It occurrs to me that this might become an annual tradition, and I should act now and set an E-Mail reminder for March 31st 2011.
