The Room and Twilight
Seconded. Can't go wrong, there.
also, planet of the dinosaurs.
I'll suggest Jurrassic Park and 300, just to be contrary.
Or perhaps a bunch of shorts.

Loved it! But I'm trying to get some friends to like Rifftrax...got to start them off easy.
The Room,Maniac,Star Wars episode 3,and Spiderman 3.
Grey's Anatomy.
Serious. My friends have all laughed at that one.
Roadhouse, can't go wrong with Roadhouse.

Good point. I watched it again a couple of nights ago with a friend and we were both howling, and I've seen it at least five times.
I really wish Mike and Bridget would do some more TV shows.
The Room is a must.. and Twilight is good too.

Definitely Jurassic Park, then. Enjoyable movie, excellent riffs, and Weird Al!
Thanks for all the suggestions...we watched Episode III...and it was great!

Did you like the Rifftrax for Lost, Heroes, and The Incredible Hulk?

Loved 'em. There's just something about the chemistry and comedy style that makes Mike and Bridget seem so well suited to this format.
I host an MST3k meetup group every month and have shown several rifftrax. They've all gone over fairly well, particularly the Harry Potter films. This month I'm doing Matrix Reloaded. Haven't done any of the Matrix trax yet. Star wars A New Hope seemed to go over really well too. That might have had something to do with the fact that I had a bigger crowd than usual (more people always means more fun).
It's interesting that somebody mentioned they got laughs from folks with Grey's Anatomy. I was considering having a TV pilot theme night with the grey's and Lost trax. This comment encourages me to try it.

Where are you? I would love to go to a Rifftrax party, or host one myself. I'm in Wilmington DE.

I was curious about if you were more a fan of Mike and Bridget being together on a riff or if you just had a fondness for riffs on TV shows. If you are a Bridget fan I assume you liked the Rifftrax for Next.

I wish I knew more movie riffing fans because I'd love to go to something like that. The closest thing I have to a Rifftrax meetup is when a few close friends come over.

Sorry Darth. I'm in Michigan, between Ann Arbor and Detroit. A bit of a commute from Wilmington. You might want to check the meetup website however. Meetup is a nationwide thing where anybody can start up a group about virtually anything. I know there are other MST meetups scattered around the country but I have no idea if there are any near you. Don't know the address off-hand but if you do a google search I'm sure you could find it.

I know what you mean. I basically started this group because I only have one MST loving friend and wanted to find more. I've been doing it now for about a year and a half and it's basically been a success. I've met a few fellow fans and gotten a few more into the show. A small group of 'regulars' have evolved that rarely miss a month. And it really adds something to the whole riffing experience when you watch it with a group. As I said earlier, I don't know if Star Wars A new Hope was a super-great rifftrax, but it sure seemed that way when you watch it with a dozen other people.
Oh, and I'm a big fan of Bridget too. Next and Grey's Anatomy are two of my favorite trax. I keep hoping she returns. I'm also a fan of the tv trax in general. I showed the Hulk trax at a meetup and it was very well received. It's a great trax. I also thought the Lost trax was very good. Heroes was okay. I think it suffered from the whole solo trax thing. They never seem to be as much fun to me.

Heroes was Mike's last solo Rifftrax, so you won't have to worry about that anymore. If you like the Rifftrax for TV shows, you should check out the Star Trek: Voyager iRiffs. A friend and I watched an iRiff for the X-Files episode "Ice" that I thought was pretty good. Unfortunately it doesn't look like that particular iRiff group has made any others.

I would like to check those out someday. THe only iriffs I've seen so far are the ones where I could buy DVDS (Incognito warriors & Josh Way) and a couple of the VOD things. It's not that I wouldn't want to see more. You see, I'm technically inept. I have a friend who puts together the rifftrax dvds for me. He has no interest in iriffs however, so therefore I don't get to see them. The closest I get are the rifftrax presents where some of the iriffs guys have appeared. Sometimes I contemplate watching the audio download sync-up way, but I'm so used to the rifftrax dvds that this syncing up thing takes away the enjoyment. I like to be able to rewind a funny scene without having to sync up everything again. And often I like to watch a riff over two nights. The sync thing makes that difficult. I know I'm spoiled but what are you going to do.

I love the Next riff. They could do any format and be great, it's just that out of the TV riffs I thought the two of them did the best job. I'm guessing TV riffs aren't as successful or there would probably be a lot more of them.

Syncing can be a little difficult at first, but it's pretty easy once you've done it more than a couple times. Not being able to rewind or watch in segments can be a pain, but think of it as a pseudo "live" performance in your home. You can't rewind live performances, but they're still enjoyable. Just try to plan ahead. If you know you won't have a lot of time, try and watch a movie with a shorter running time.

It's true. None of the TV show riffs have been really big sellers. In fact, Grey's Anatomy is one of the lowest sellers. It's not impossible, but I wouldn't bet on official TV show Rifftrax appearing too often in the future. Fortunately the iRiffers have more flexibility since it's not their day job.
