Does anyone know if the Overcoming Fear short is on one of the Educational Archives DVDs?? I tried to use the RiffTrax provided MPG but the Riff volume is way to low for me and I want to author my own.
Just download the source audio files and remix it however you want. That's why they do that.

They give both audio tracks now? The riff and the short audio? Do they have them for all the shorts? I really haven't downloaded much of the shorts and the last time I did they only offered the Riff audio. Do the old ones have it too now?

I watched this last night, and struggled to hear the riff commentary. I too would like to reauthor my own, or perhaps a new file could be remixed and replace the current MPG.

They've been providing both the riff audio and the source audio since the Patriotism short.

Interesting that it's too low, it sounded fine in our offices. We could try reauthoring ours as well but I'm fairly certain the source audio files are there if you'd like to do your own.

It could just be my HT set up. I ran it off a thumb drive via my PS3. It was really hard to hear the riffs over the audio. It sounds ok on my computer speakers but any riffs that aren't shouted are still hard to hear for me.
The ducking sounds broken in the first half. You can hear it trying to do something, but the source audio is still loud.
Same problem here. The riffs are too low, i have to turn all the way up to hear it clearly, wich isn't very pleasant. Since i don't have time to do my own re-autoring, guess i'll have to wait for you guys at Rifftrax to do so ;D

There was ducking?? To me the short audio never wavers....
The first half of the short is very difficult to hear the riffing. There's one spot where Bill says something about people named Bill but I can't make it out.
He hates people named Bill.
Ok, with the source audio files one can fix this easily with the usual mixing tools. Thanks for making that available.

Still, they sould make a fixed version avaliable. I really don't have the time or the software to fix it myself.

Weird.. I will take a look.
The source files and video are in perfect sync, for those who want to re-author this short. I used Goldwave to boost up the volume of the riff MP3. Toned it back a bit using the expander/compressor settings. Converted the wav to AC3, muxed everything together using ifoedit and can now enjoy the short in its entirety.
Again, thanks for the source audio tracks. :)

phew! Sounds like a lot of work. I guess at some ponit, they'll fix the video files, so i'll have to wait to watch the short a little more.
Ugh! Sorry, I forgot about fixing the video files. They have been fixed but still needed to be put onto the server. I'm doing that right now. Will update again when they've finished.
EDIT: Mp4 and wmv are up.
EDIT: Okay, all files are now newer versions. Please let me know if these are any better.
Alright, yes much, much better, and it made it even more funny. Thank you very much!
