I may had heard his music before, but I didn't really know Dick until the Ocean's 11 Riff. I love a good caper movie, and Ocean's is that. But one again Mike Nelson proves that even good movies can be goofed on if you don't take you love of them too seriously, and Richard turned out to be quite a deft hand with a line.
 Well done, old boy. Well done.
I went and got some of Richard's CD's and was not disapointed. His insane and talented take on pop, alternative and rap has been running around my head for some days now.
Thank you for introducing me to him
Now get to work on Ocean's 12 and the 13th. Those I didn't like as much.
Which of his albums did you pick up? Personally I recommend Sunny Side of the Moon (which is kind of a best of) and Silent Nightclub (His Christmas album)
Yeah I was really unsure about Mr. Cheese. But he did great and I loved the Ocean's 11 riff.
I really wish they'd start some regular rotation with the guest riffers. Have some them back on a regular basis.

Let's see. I got Aperitif For Destruction, Sunny Side (which you mentioned) and Tuxicity. One of those a friend gave me, and I'm getting the rest soon. My buddy who has them all has played most of them for me, so I'm familiar with most of the songs by now. We may have a Richard Cheese coctail party in the near future... maybe when one of the new CD's come out.
Been a fan of his for some time... just saw him last night in Sacramento. Awesome show!! Definitely one of the best shows I have seen yet. After the show, I was able to stay late, get in line, and meet him and get autographs n stuff. I just wish I had thought to bring my Oceans Eleven DVD for him to sign.
Anyways, I told him I was "thrilled to meet someone who met Mike Nelson" and how happy it made me to "meet Mike Nelson through one degree of separation" ;D
