I have tried this multiple times, following the directions exactly as mike says them, and I even get the first disembaudio line to sync up with the film but after that, it seems as though the movie is playing too fast and the rifftrax gets left behind (sorry, that's the best way I can describe it). As the movie progresses, it becomes obvious that the rifftrax is not synced. By the time the next disembaudio line comes around, it is off by a couple of seconds. Any idea what is wrong? This also happened to me in the spiderman 1 rifftrax, but did not happen to me with the oceans eleven rifftrax, and each time, I use the same method to sync it up.
Any ideas as to what is wrong?
You may have the wrong version of the Rifftrax for your version of the movie. There's NTSC, which is the "Region 1" DVD released in North America, and there's PAL, the version released in Europe (and probably elsewhere, but I'm not looking it up right now). If you downloaded a PAL Riff and played it with your NTSC disc, or vice versa, you will get serious drift problems. If that's the case, just go download the proper version instead.
Hope it was as simple as this.
The above description of the PAL/NTSC mismatch is the only reason that what you're describing should be happening.
Thanks for your help! that was the problem. I didn't even realize that I had a PAL version of the movie.
