Huh, a Buffalo placekicker missing a 47-yard field goal attempt wide right to lose a game.... now WHERE have I seen that before?

Added the extra layer of rich, gooey irony for you.

And the crazy thing:  in the Eagles-Bengals game the previous day, the Cincinnati placekicker also missed a 47-yard attempt -- wide right -- at the end of overtime to leave the game a tie.

Is that number just cursed for NFL kickers or something?

The only thing I enjoyed about that game was some scrub for the Bengals who replaced Chad Johnson.    He caught a TD pass (it hit him in the chest, he had to) and he did a long "look at me, look at me" little dance to the camera and blew off his team mates trying to congratulate him.    Later in the game, he dropped the next two passes thrown his way.    No more little dances.

 :D :D Too Funny..

The Panthers (8-2) and Falcons (6-4) play 4:15 game, but 3 other games of interest to watch this weekend are:

Favre's (7-3) Jets at the (10-0) Titans :o (I'm sensing a possible upset here :-X )
&
The Patriots (6-4) at the (6-4) Miami Dolphins :-X

I hope I get to watch one of these games before mine..

And later:  The (9-1) Giants at the (7-3) Cardinals

Don't forget another late game:  the 9-1 Giants return to the field where they won Super Bowl XLII to take on the 7-3 Cardinals (led by Kurt Warner, the QB they ditched mid-season four years ago to start playing Eli).  Big NFC playoff implications -- especially for your Panthers, RVRII.  If they want home-field through the playoffs, someone has to pull the G-Men back to the back soon.  Or maybe it'll be the Cards challenging Carolina for #2 ...

It's that time of the season, when games really start feeling like they matter.

Oh yeah..
We're holding our breath around here these days.. :scared:

Jake Delhome just needs to keep his Shit together and hope he got all his erratic passing issues out of the way so we can keep on moving on forward.. :-X

At least the Rams figured out their problems.

Our "all pro" (sarcasm) offensive lineman Richie Incongnito declared that the Rams fans are horrible, do not know when to cheer and are hurting the team.

Coming from such a dumb shit, I feel honored to be paying his salary.

Perhaps if he did not have 2 or 3 drive-killing penalties a game, the team would be doing better.

If they were smart, would they be doing this for a living?

(and before anyone gives me hell for generalizing, I have a cousin who played in college...I've heard all the stories)

Porter on Vick: 'All it was was dogs'
Fri Nov 21, 2008 2:03 pm EST

Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter commented on the possible reinstatement of former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and, as usual, Porter shot right from the lip, according to a report on EPSN.com. Vick was convicted for his role in a dogfighting ring and is serving time in a Kansas federal prison. He's scheduled to be released next summer.

"He's already been punished enough," said Porter (referring to Vick's possible reinstatement after serving his sentence), who owns a pair of pit bulls and a Maltese. "They gave him his penalty. He paid his penalty. What else should they do to him now?

"All it was was dogs. They act like they don't even like pit bulls anyway. That's the funny thing about it if you want to get back on that topic. I got pit bulls, I got to put them under a different breed just to travel. So you can't even fly pit bulls nowhere.

"It's a breed they don't care about. It's not like he was fighting cocker spaniels or something that they like. They don't really care too much about pit bulls."

Profootballtalk.com reported that Porter let his pitbull loose and it killed a miniature horse.
