Ah but that was when he was (at least according to him) a huge heathen, did he sacrifice a goat to Skelator between filming?

No.  He mostly fiddled around with a Rubik's cube, which I subsequently taught him how to solve.

Nowadays, Kirk would probably have something to say about how Erno Rubik is a consort of Beelzebub, pandering as he does to those with idle hands.  Which presumably consigns me to the same circle of hell as Aleister Crowley.

The episode on Growing Pains.  They show a snippet of Kirk Cameron's first acting job, which was a He-Man commercial -- he played He-Man, I played Skeletor.  This is why Kirk is famous, rich, and living on a ranch with Chelsea Noble while I... am posting on the RiffTrax forum.

The freaky "banana + hand = God" thing does provide some consolation.

Steve-O you're so famous.  Had I known I spent so much time in the presence of greatness, I would have typed this in my fancy sweatpants.

Oh yeah, I rubbed elbows with all the big stars.  Barret Oliver, Jason Hervey, various and sundry Coreys...  Most of them were insufferably arrogant little pricks, but Kirk and his sister were actually pretty nice kids.

Kirk had totally straight hair at the time, though; that kinky 'fro he rocked throughout Growing Pains is perm city.  Hope that doesn't de-dreamify him for ya.

Had I known I spent so much time in the presence of greatness, I would have typed this in my fancy sweatpants.

It's cool.  I long ago resigned myself to the fact that the ratty sweatpants with the hole in the crotch are the best I can hope to aspire to.

Were they nice to you or did you get an memorable dismissal from the judges?

Having never seen it but looking at the description I'm guessing Kyle Sandilands (whose wikipedia article is a gem ;) and apparently currently an on going edit war battleground) fills the Simon role yes?

No, Dicko fits the Simon role.  Kyle, from what I understand is a really bad commercial DJ whose there because he's got a contract with the network.  Basically he's the anti-Paula, just as worthless but mindlessly negative instead of positive.

I had a mohawk at the time (Kyle has a fauxhawk) and when he dissed me I compared us in a pretty rude way so I got edited.

meh, my 15 seconds of fame.

I've never tried out for a reality show because I despise them.  Although I do have a friend who got kicked out of  the mall last year when they held an America's Next Top Model auditon for harassing the females.

While there are several dozen He-Man commercials on YouTube, the fabled Kirk Cameron spot has yet to make an appearance.

I just did another scan for it, though, and this one turned up:

Playing the heavy again.  That other kid is probably a billionaire.

Tripe should go on Hell's Kitchen.

Haha, he'd be like "HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHE- -   oh really?  No kidding!"
