Golden opportunity missed....
« on: June 22, 2008, 04:52:21 AM »
the other day I posted some suggestions for VOD shorts that the guys should look into. This is one of them.

200 (1976) - This is a very trippy/psychedelic  cartoon celebrating America's 200th birthday. This Would have been the perfect thing to riff and have attached to Drugs are like that.... Especially if played at the end. This is such a short short (about 3 min.) that it would need to be attached to a larger short. Maybe we can get another drug short sometime and add this to it. Watch it and try to convince me drugs are not like this http://www.archive.org/details/200

This would have been great with kevin passing around the water glass and them taking hits off it.

True.. Don't know how much the guys would want to express that interest though without tarnishing their 'squeeky-clean' reputations.. ::)

I can just imagine the guys laughing like Beavis and Butthead watching this.

Well, things without any dialogue are harder to riff, I think. No setups for jokes. This cartoon had no dialogue in it.

I did like the "cornucopia" thing about 2 mins in. "Hamburgers! TVs! Hot dogs! Baseball!" Yep, they got our number, all right.

Just figured it might work because it is like an acid trip and it is very short.

Somehow I thought this was a prequel to 300.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

That would have been one of my jokes about it!
