Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy ...etc.

Been looking forward to this one for a while. Loved the Godzilla track.
I have to say, I actually liked a lot of this movie, most of it was goofy pulpy fun. But Gwyneth Paltrow's character was SO ANNOYING it completely ruined the movie for me. Truly one of the most cliche badly written female characters I have ever seen.

I'm also looking forward to Van Helsing. I hate that movie. Funny story: I hated it when I saw it in theaters. When it cam out on DVD I thought "Oh yeah, that Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf movie" and bought it. It wasn't until I got it home that I remembered that I hated it. So I'm waiting for the Quiptracks so I can justify why it's still on my shelf.

Just watched the preview and...it seems like it should be relatively funny.

No, I read it with the airquotes that people who don't understand technical or futuristic lingo use. Like even the people who made the movie didn't know what the hell they were talking about. "Sky Captain" and the "World of Tomorrow."

Nice preview clip.  When I get time I'm planning on getting this one.  This is actually on my top 10 request riff's.

I picked up the DVD knowing that someone would have to get around to riffing it sooner or later.

Just watched it today and absolutely loved it! Very funny all around! Good job!

I just wish you had been even more venomous towards Polly. I can't manage to sling enough insults at that character. Seriously, as silly as this movie gets, it can be very entertaining (in a pulp novel sort of way). It is her character that ruins the whole thing for me.

It's like I was saying with Godzilla: Their one flaw is their lack of bile towards crappy female leads.

Ha ha yeah... I'll keep that in mind for future releases; I'm just not as good at burn/bile type riffs (though I have to admit that some basic screaming or ranting would have been appropriate in both Audrey and Polly's cases). Well there's plenty of bile for the characters in Van Helsing (which is 90% scripted by the way)....
