The only really bad games I bought was Enter the Matrix and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

This was brought up in a different thread, but Futurama the game. The gameplay was pretty bad, the levels were far too hard and took way too long, but you got to watch an episode of Futurama! And the characters phrases throughout the game were hilarious, even if you heard them repeated over and over. Plus, it had the replayability forced upon you!

I was glad when they cut together all of the cut scenes and released them on the Bender's Big Score DVD (or was it the other one?). It was funny, but I stayed away from the game itself.

The Mortal Kombat games.

I mean, let's face it. Sure, it's fun to play at times and it's got crazy combos . . . but that's it! There's not a whole lot of thought put into it.

I'm a big fan but I'm willing to admit not as much effort is put into it, compared to other fighting games.

Final Fantasy X-2. But it really IS bad. The terrible 'girly' moments, the fact that you have to have a strategy guide to get a good ending....the pop star ambiance.

But I'm a sucker for a happy ending. I really am.

Friday the 13th on the NES. A lot of people slag it, and I can't really disagree with them. I have a soft spot in my heart for it. The non-ending is kind of a letdown after all the effort you go through to kill Jason, but there's something fun and subversive about a game involving the murder of camp counselors and CHILDREN getting approved for the notoriously tight-assed Nintendo.

I still cart it around on my GBA so I can play it every so often.

I might be at the end of my tether with J-RPGs, frankly.  After Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, the past couple of Final Fantasy games, and Enchanted Arms, they've worn me down to boredom, while "western" RPGs, such as Mass Effect, the 2 KotoRs, Neverwinter Nights (basically everything Bioware's ever done), Fable, and the upcoming Fallout 3 (have I mentioned how much I'm looking forward to that game?) all seem 10 times more interesting.  The only J-RPG I've remotely enjoyed lately is the frankly weird Eternal Sonata, though it still boasts a lot of the same problems as the others I mentioned.

I'm mostly done with JRPGs too.  But I got The World Ends With You for my DS and love that one to pieces.  I haven't played a story that good in a *very* long time.

Some JRPGs. I don't actually see the appeal in them. Constantly regurgitated storylines and emo characters. There is something satisfying to them though, sometimes, but doubt I'll be buying another soon. Western RPGs are much more fun.

We used to subject ourselves to Bayou Billy tournaments on the NES.

I paid a dime for two SNES games Shaq Fu and Race Drivin.  We got enjoyment out of how shitty they both were.  Race Drivin you could never make it through the first loop so every game lasted 45 seconds tops.  And then you got a cool little 4 bit instant replay of your demise.  Shaq Fu was... well... Shaq Fu.
