Haven't heard the new Portishead yet.  I'm too filled with anticipation for the new Travis album coming out that they're kind of all I'm listening to.

But today I'm taking a Travis break (more for the sake of my workmates than myself) to listen to:

The one after the man who, what was that sing? i thought that one sucked hard. This is just my opinion, mind

and i have the man who and their first album, so i'm not just one of those people who only likes "why does it always rain on me" and wants everything to sound like that song

Monty, could you do me a favour and put the names of some of the albums I have difficulty reading them sometimes :)

Also, that will help 'em show up in searches.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title was The Boo Radleys song "The White Noise Revisited".  From their finest album, Giant Steps.  Which I actually did listen to this morning.

I would call it one of the finest albums of its decade.  But I hyperbolize like that.

You're saying Mezzanine's the only one you've heard?

Oh you need to go to a record store forthwith. Get all the ones before Mezzanine.

Oh and pick up Maxinquaye at the same time.

Korpiklaani - Tales Along this Road

One of my friends aptly described this particular Finnish folk metal band as "barfight music".
