Still on my folk metal quest of discovery.

Richie Blackmore went on to do some folk metal, under the name Blackmore's Nights or something.

I've been listening to the soundtrack of GTA... As I play it.  I'm currently enamoured of the ambient station, which plays Phillip Glass and Aphex Twin.  Moody.

It is Blackmore's Night, from Richie Blackmore and Candice Night (good choice Richie!), and it's splendid stuff for the most part. I've not heard the bands Rob is listening to though so I'm not sure if they're the same. Blackmore's Night is more like The Battle of Evermore type Folk Rock.

Yeah, I was wondering how pronounced the metal was in folk metal.  :)

You have a large number of LPs.  Either that, or you're a disc jockey for an oldies station.

I don't have that many actually.  A few hundred or so.  I was thinking about buying more.

Some more random CD's listened to at work last night:

The Lost Boys - Original Soundtrack

Whitesnake - Slip Of The Tongue

No problem.  I went back and edited my previous posts as well.

Yeah I did the same on the ones where the title's a bit indistinct :)

Think I should do it for all of them?

It did seem sort of dumb to label the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, when it is obvious from the picture what it is.  But for the sake of consistency, I did so anyway.

Fair Point. I went back and did that.

I think from here on out that's be a good thing to do, it helps people find the album if they're interested in it. :)
