Seasonspeach, from ElvenKing, Heathenreel.

This is from ElvenKing's first, and by FAR, best album, and Seasonspeech is the finale. I never get tired of this.

I got it originally on Itunes, but that format isn't friendly for my car stereos flash drive, so I bought Final Fantasy Distant Worlds from Amazon MP3. Love it, all those Distant Worlds albums are amazing renditions of music from Final Fantasy.

Anyone getting a Tom Petty vibe from this?

I've worked 12-16 hour days for the last two weeks. Having this come on after I got in the car this evening was special.
You know, if the space man puma thing turns out to be the correct religion, I for one will be very surprised.

After watching Filmage again recently, I decided to search youtube for ALL and Descendents shows. There's a lot more there then I ever expected (the Filmage screening after party ALL show is great). The quality of some of the shows suck, but being able to watch shows from multiple iterations of a band's history over 30 plus years is pretty awesome.
Watching Chad Price's evolution from glasses wearing Milo-esque geek (which despite seeing a couple of ALL shows in person back in the early 90s when that was the case, I had forgotten about) to the long haired bearded Jesus look alike that I'm more familar with was especially entertaining.
And ALL's Allroy's Revenge is still the greatest album of break up songs of all time. And hearing songs from the first 2 ALL albums (one was really an EP) performed live without the terrible 80s production that made those albums so terrible is great.

It's been 9 years, and I just found out that Mike Nelson is credited as the person who sparked the Rebecca Black song "Friday" to go viral. From Wiki:

I wonder how Mike feels about this.

I remember being on the boards when that blew up. I think he posted it on the Rifftrax blog back when they had a blog, and then the board caught onto it, and it was referenced constantly around here. She thanked him on Twitter, so he's aware of his role in that whole sensation.

Cool! I'm really bored at work today, so I looked further into this. Found a really interesting interview where Mike talks about the weekend that happened:

Quote
Flightpath: Did you send the Tweet that basically created Rebecca Black? Is that true?

Mike Nelson: I have been credited for that. We were watching that over the weekend that that happened, and it did sort of fan out from my Tweet about it. Usually just by sheer scale on Twitter, when you post something and you get the replies, you’re kind of like, “Okay, I got 30 or 40 or whatever, that’s fairly decent,” – direct replies or ReTweets or whatever – and this one was just like, insane. Just so many people responding, and it just went on and on. I happened to be traveling that weekend, so I was sort of paying half an eye to it. But another writer here, Conor Lastowka, was Tweeting me, “Uh, we’re up to however many million, and it’s climbing.” So that was kind of fun to watch. It did seem to fan out from there. And obviously you never know for sure. It’s like the forest fire thing. It’s really hard to know what was the thing that started it all.

Btw, Rebecca Black's tweet to Mike a week later:

So apparently you’re the one to ‘blame’ for these past couple days. If that’s the case – Thanks so much! :) xoxo.

So, clearly this was before she had to switch schools because she got harassed so much.
