[RVR II]

So I'm looking at some Adult Swim cartoons on Netflix DVD and this show along with Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, Harvey Birdman, Futurama, and Squidbillies look like they could be funny.. Got Robot Chicken up to Season 4 and plan on getting 5 & 6 but 7 is only available for sale, and season 8 is not available at all on DVD
Any other recommendations?

I love every one of those shows and suspect you would as well. Early Adult Swim captures a lot of the weird energy that made Space Ghost so great. I would add Sealab 2021 (At least the first 2 volumes) to the list. There are a lot of other Adult Swim shows that I love, but they're way less accessible.

I love Sealab 2021, so I second the recommendation. The later episodes do lose a step, but there was no real avoiding it as one of the main cast had passed away. They did the best with what they had though.

The Brak Show I always found random and obnoxious, even though I sort of liked Space Ghost.  Squidbillies I'm just too turned off by the poor quality of the artwork.

So we picked up "Go Team Venture! The Art of the Venture Bros." I was expecting a big coffee table book full of pretty pictures with maybe a few captions, but this thing is like an in-depth director's commentary for everything Venture Bros. from the conception of the show to the present. Totally worth the $27 it's going for on Amazon.

17 years and we only got 7 seasons out of it. At least it was a good 7 seasons.

So the rumor is that Hulu kept exclusivity for some of Adult Swim's shows, but ever since the AT&T merger, and with the launch of HBO Max, Hulu is a competitor. So they don't want to create new content for their competitors, so shows that aren't HBO Max got axed (Including Mike Tyson Mysteries, one of my favorites.) Of course they paid a bunch of money to get rights to non-exclusively show Rick and Morty because they know where their bread is buttered, but Venture Bros. didn't quite have the following to be worth the money.

BUT there's still a chance that HBO Max could get Venture Bros. exclusively if it changed to a different name. Apparently this is why Mr. Pickles was changed to "My Mama Called Me Sherriff."  This might be why Adult Swim tweeted that they're working with Doc Hammer and Jackson Publik to keep the story going.
